Thanks for the flowers, people. I'm glad you like her. Still tweaking her and I haven't yet made an Admiral's Log pic, BB or wireframe for her. Nor have I secured permission for public release.

Maj, the RGB number is divided by the value '255' instead of '256'.

But enough of that, I wanna show off. A little, rofl

@TF: Yeah, show off moar of your cool stuff! /me is a fan!

@everyone: If you want to spare yourself the work with RGB values and A2's strange decimal format, I've actually written a converter for that. It's in the toolbox.

Ah thanks Thunder, been so long.

The Akira looks great, I wonder are you secretly considering doing a Terran Empire Fleet Texture pack? I really think it would go down well, especially if you use some of the rarer designs in it replacing designs like the Steamrunner, Sovereign etc.

Something I plan on trying out in more detail when I start to balance my mods.

Not much point in doing texture sets unless I can release the SODs as well. Wanna look around and see what's available and able to be released before I commit to anything.

That's fair enough. I look forward to seeing if this progresses any further.

Thanks, guys! The idea I've had is to release Terran versions of all the Stock Fed ship classes. I'd much prefer to be able to release the SODs and a few other goodies to go along with them. I'd also like very much for these to not be just recolored versions of Starfleet ships. I want to use what I consider the very best versions of each ship available as a basis for this. You know, the ones which make all of us go slack jawed the first time we see them. I'm thinking it would be cool to release them individually and, as a finish to the series, release everything as a pack with all the eventual and inevitable updates and new stuff in one place. This way, people can cherry pick the ships they really want without having to dig thru an entire TC mod.

I'd like to release this one ASAP. Fleet version of the Terran Galaxy class. Been working it all evening. Anyone interested? Just kidding :D. And thanks for all the generous support you've shown thru the years.

Beautiful. I am curious what is the difference between the Terran Galaxy compared to the Federation Galaxy in terms of structural changes?

You know, I blame you, you got me wanting to do a ENT era Terran faction. :lol2:

Did this one as a Venture class/Dominion War refit, so it would look different. The nacelle implants are a dead giveaway, lol. Nip/Tuck for starships, don't ya know? Most of the changes are inside the ODF. Different weapons hardPoints. No Saucer Separation special weapon, added a tractor beam and of course, self destruct.

G'wan! Blame me all you wanna! I got thick skin and as long as you're blaming me, you're leaving decent folk alone, lmao!

What about in the book Dark Mirror? I remember you saying earlier that there were some noticeable changes to the Terran version.

I would so go for that, do the Terrans right once and for all.

I could do the modelling right, it's the odf and balancing work that sorely lets me down. I'll be using the Kitteh's Litter, um toolbox to try and bump up my short comings.

True that. However, my mesh tweaking skillset is very limited. I am afraid I would do more harm than good if I tried to get her to be an exact match. She started life as a Rick Knox BC mesh. If I did try to change her to match Dark Mirror a little more closely, I view doing so the same way as if I tried to make some 'minor adjustments' to the Mona Lisa, lol. For my purposes using the mesh with the different textures works on the effect level of modeling and modding just fine.

You're actually better at this than you realize. Please read the following carefully:

Code Monkey Trade Secret #1

Somebody somewhere has already done exactly what you want to do in another ODF file and it works. Copy/Paste is Your Friend!

This may cost me my Union Card but WTH, right?

Ah okay I thought someone else may want to take the task up of making the mesh changes for you.

Yes, however I find it hard than it sounds. The balancing element for one. It's a monster.

Thanks for the quick response, guys. Here is the TE Steamrunner class. Michael Kelly did a very fine job on this years ago. I've not ever replaced it once I put it in my install. It handled the conversion beautifully.

I've decided I'll not use the Sabre class for the Terran Empire Starfleet. I want to use the Norway as the second destroyer class instead. The Sabres have little staying power and I don't think the Terran Starfleet would build ships which are not as effective as their foreign counterparts. I may reintroduce the Sabre in place of the Venture class scout, but I have decided not to decide about this until later.

I've no idea at all what to use for either a colony ship or a science vessel. I think I'll use the Oberth class for a science vessel because science isn't as high on the priority list with the Terrans. I can easily visualize them using Oberths long past their useful service life should have ended because Earth does not want to waste resources on a non combat vessel. The Oberth would also make a fine colony ship since as well, I think.

i'm not planning on doing a Sovvy. Jetfreak has already done one of these and there is no way I culd match his textures in quality. So when I eventually get around to doing the entire fleet as an add on race, I'll leave a space for his Sovvy to just be dropped in.

For a frigate I've no idea what to use either. I can see the Terrans only recently introducing a fleet defense vessel and as such this probably won't be an Aegian. I like the Nova class, there are more than a few good ones available and it shares commonality of parts with the Intrepid class so it makes sense the Terrans would use this frame this way. At least to me it makes sense. I could be completely out of my mind. I am quite sure there is more than one FanBoy out there who'll be glad to point out just how 'wrong' I am doing this, rofl.

I've also went back to Tom Bloomberg's conversion of NineOfNine's BC Defiant. Yes, it's poly heavy. Just like all the rest of these so far. But I really like the attention to detail on it. If I wanted a poorly done blob which only sometimes vaguely resembles the ship it is named it after, I could have done all this with the Stock ship meshes. I want these to look different in my install. I want them to look elegantly, lethally menacing. I want someone to place these into their install and go, "Wow! That's wonderfully scary!"

But you' re really reading this for the pics aren't you? Hope I do not disappoint, lol. And before you ask, why yes, that is Dan1025's wonderful Intrepid pulling double duty. I seriously doubt the Kazon would be foolish enough to hunt the Terran Kathryn Janeway down more than once. After she finished with them, there wouldn't be enough left to crew a lifeboat, let alone one of those hideously overpowered oversized hulks they usually run around in.

She loks great man. If you ever want to look at a new steamrunner take a look at this hull.

She not finished to my release standards yet but I like to think shes worth a look:cool:

Nice Intreapid too:excited:

Very nice Thunder, I have always thought that the Terrans would've never built an Intrepid class, as it's an exploration scout. However if they did build one this is what she would've look like.

I read somewhere once that a fan fiction did a Mirror Universe Voyager where Riker was Janeway's First Officer due to Picard laying the blame on him for a failed mission by the Enterprise.
Basically Voyager was swept into the Delta Quadrant like in the Prime Universe and Riker took the opportunity to assassinate Janeway and take control of Voyager and the Array, he sent a shuttle back to the Alpha Quadrant and hours later he used the array and brought in a Terran Armada to the Delta Quadrant and started to conquer it, with the Kazons the first in his sights. Due to Riker's success he was given a full commission to Captain (of Voyager) and was in charge of the Delta Quadrant Invasion.

I think the Terrans would've built the hulls. They just would not use them in the same way. Remember, to a Terran, 'exploration' and 'exploitation' are the same thing.

That's a very god point. Would be outfitted differently like the Galaxy class.

Remeber the prime Intrepid was a very capable warship its own right. Admeral Ross'es Flagship during the war was the USS Bellerophon and USS Voyager did survive her trek:D
