• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Thank you, CABAL. Stick with me and you'll be the #1 uploader in no time, lol.

And now on to new business. One of the very few things I actively dislike about STO is the horrid color choice made for the Terrans. The shade chosen is an eye-traumatizing purple which takes the rather decent looking models and textures of STO's Fed ships and turns them into bad cartoon parodies of themselves. Yes, I really do think they look that bad. To the point where if the Terrans ever become a playable race I intend to stay as far away as possible!
I recently went back and watched the TOS Mirror episode on NetFlix and was surprised to find ISS Enterprise actually shown as gunmetal in color. The NetFlix episodes are the digitally remastered ones made from the original videotapes and film used in making TOS. I was also pleasantly reminded of why I decided on the 'Less Is More' approach as regards marking up Terran ships. I haven't done a pic just to do a pic in a very long while, so it is time.
Here's hoping I can still do the Lady justice. Nuff Said

SSHHHH!!! Puh-Leeeze! You'll blow my cover speaking like that where everyone can hear! I am 'retired' from A2 modding, remember? And now you've blurted it out. Do you know how hard it was to get the paparazzi and the FanBoys to quit following me around and rooting through my deleted files? I retired because the glitter and glam lifestyle of being a well known A2 modder was getting to be too much. Waking up all bleary eyed and with sore fingers in a hotel room in a foreign country with a pair of strange computers and a thumb drive I've never seen before in my life sitting on the credenza. Awwwkwarrrrd! The emails from everywhere. The people offering me their firstborn children if I'd just do one more version of the Physics Project. Having to duck out the back door at Best Buy to avoid the hordes of FanBoys trawling the Game Section hoping for a glimpse of me. The pressure to perform even when I didn't want to anymore.

Thanks, Buddy! I owe you one! :p:lol2:

LOL what you don't realize is that in your sarcasm, you have actually stated close to how people actually view your mods. There are more physics project fanboys than you think.

"Hey! Hey! I wanna be a Rock Star!"
Over on A2F, A2PP v.X has a D/L count of 2203, Z. Gawd only knows how many bootleg copies have been passed around the InterWebs or included in other mods. Can you imagine the ruckus releasing BSGHRM v1.0 over there would cause?

"OMG! OMG! 1337! Pwns Ever'thing else! Oh, waitaminnit. It isn't for FleetOps. Well in that case, it's...meh."

roflmao. Not ever gonna happen, BTW.

I resent that remark, lol.
She also offered me donuts. And a hacked copy of MS3D 5 Max with all the plugins. And a case of my favorite whiskey. And free pizza. You know how I feel about pizza, lol.

File up! And according to the URL, it's file number 666. Hopefully it doesn't try to take over your computer and turn it into some kind of hell beast.

Oddly, this is entirely appropriate.

My conversion of STA 2 Classic into an FO version of my custom mod proceeds successfully! I have managed to install MU v2.0, Robert Stein's Planets v2.0, A2PP-2012, Gavin's Selection SOD(Bubbles Go Pop), and Icewolf's Race Specific Phaser Flares. Especially proud of A2PP-2012 because it includes Terra_Inc's verah kewel Cardassian weapons and CptBenSisko's excellent timing for weapon and shield effects.

P.S. Don't tell anybody, but I'm really enjoying myself with this. If everyone finds out how much fun I'm having, it will spoil my rep as a crusty old loose cannon. Oh darn, I just typed that in, didn't I? lmao.

Wow, I leave for a few days and there's 72 new posts in 16 topics, I've got a PM from Hellkite, Thunderfoot's made progress on converting his A2 install to FO (great job, btw) and there are two new files in the in-box.

Anyway, great job on your progress so far, Thunder. Also, I'll get that file up as soon as I'm done catching up on what's happened.
