STO just tweeted that there is a glitch that allowed KDF players to buy and claim the Titan class. They decided instead of fixing it, they are gonna roll with it. I have a KDF science captain in need of a good ship.

Until 30th Nov there is a 25% off sale in the C Store.
Rather than buying ships, I would suggest buying the 3x Ship Gift Tokens which allow you to get 3x T6 ships for free. Right now (with the 25% off) that's 4500 zen. Even at the normal price of 6000 zen that's good going.
I just blew my dilithium reserves on making up the last 500 zen to get it. I figure I'll save it until something I really want comes along.

Well, be sure to post some pretty pictures. I'm debating picking it up, but on the other hand I may pic up a T6 Tac Vesta. Or maybe even an Intrepid. If there were a T6 Nova I'd already have got it.

USS Sardinia preparing to depart Earth to assist the Klingon Empire at Rura Penthe

I am really happy with this ship right now and I just may use my X-upgrade on it.

Zef Films Luna video

I want to like the Luna but I'm not sold on the deflector (which looks to me like they just forgot to add a texture) and nacelles (or possibly the pylons)

This video does an overview of the visuals (starts at 6 minutes), although if you're like me you'll turn off the audio as the voice is like nails on a chalk board to me!

Question, other than being an Intrepid variant, why would anyone pick a T6 Pathfinder over one of the T6 Vestas?

The neat thing is, if you use the type 0 material on the Luna skin, it actually changes the deflector to the TOS look. I was really impressed with that little bit.

Sadly this works on all three standard variants but not on the Titan itself. It's like there's an "inner" deflector that changes but there's a blue window between it and space

I jumped on yesterday to pick the Titan up for my TOS Science Captain plus the Flaming Targ pet using the stipend I had, while I am not currently playing the game I know when I get back to it I'll probably want the Titan as it has an ideal layout for me with the BOFFs.

I grabbed one today, will probably give it to my Disco Eng Captain as he currently runs a T6 Ambassador. I prefer to put my Eng characters in Sci or Tac ships as it gives them greater survivability, then use the crew to do the damage.

So I recently found some fascinating concept art from the days of Perpetual that I've never seen before and can't for the life of me figure out what phrase I typed into Google to find it. It's a sheet of character art done for the game, including several species I'd never heard about when exploring other concept art pages for STO.

Concept art is always interesting. This kind of makes me wonder that the original STO would have looked like.

Also, I have no idea what a C'rblian is, but now I'm kind of angry at STO for not letting me play as one. :p

STO has started their anniversary celebration with a weekend of giveaways. First giveaway is 5 Master Keys. These keys are bound to character but the items obtain should not be. You can claim them from the promotions tab in the C-Store.

Day 2 is an Ultimate Tech Upgrade, one per account.

Also of interest, there is currently a sale on bundles, 35% off. I'm surprised I didn't see it advertised anywhere. If I had any zen I'd be tempted by the Fed Admiral bundle (actually, that may be why the dilithium exchange rate is maxed out at the moment).

Nice. Anyone have any thoughts which T5 to pick up? It's been a while since I looked at them.

Not sure. Thinking about either the Garumba, Ranger Battleship, or a Scimitar.

Considering a Scimitar...

Today there's a lot to go through.

Firstly, today's giveaway is a T6X upgrade token.
Secondly, they are also giving away a Kor uniform so look under the Uniforms tab in the C store.
When I was there I also spotted that the Kilt uniform was available, no idea why, maybe I missed something else.
Finally, there's an Alienware giveaway, log in and grab a key for:
- Klingon Miracle Worker BOff
- T'Kuva uniform
- Klingon species unlock for Federation character
- 12 inventory slots
I've grabbed a code and redeemed it, but not logged back in yet.

https://uk.alienwarearena.com/ucf/s...lobal/Giveaway/star-trek-online-pack-giveaway
then redeem it here:
https://www.arcgames.com/en/code-redemption

Also (so not quite finally) I noticed that a new character slot was available. I was hoping to see some details of a Delta Recruit style event, but haven't yet so I'm holding off.

I have been working on a new KDF recruit and some of the rewards are decent, like a set of personal ground and space traits. Plus a Starship Trait. I think it's the personal space trait which offers extra crit.

As for getting a Bat'leth to maximum level for 2,500 melee kills...meh. I'll unlock that when I do. I know there's a Reddit thread out there about how to accomplish this not only relatively quickly, but do so whilst doing anything but actively playing the game, but I won't say anything more about it, nor provide a url to it, because it seems like the kind of thing one might potentially be banned for.

Speaking of exploits, if you go to Kobali ground and use the transporter from/to the Kobali city through ANY of the transporters, you get a 25 dilithium container each and every time you do that. So, bug? I am pretty dang sure it is. Still I'm not going to take advantage of that, because it's one of those things which would -certainly- cause one to be called to a meeting with Mr. Ban Hammer. That is if you do it enough times.

Something else that's a bug, but not an exploit, is if you unlock the things in your KDF Recruit's transponder, some of the associated reclaim rewards can't be opened by another toon. You get the boxes for the rewards when you speak to your temporal op of choice, but you cannot yet open them. So that'll be fixed eventually, I would hope.

Aside from the glitchy, buggy, Bethesda "It Just Works" type stuff, I did find working on another toon to be rewarding in a way. My wife started playing the game not too long ago and for the first time we had a reason to run episode missions side-by-side, at least the few here and there which can be completed by a team. Lots of laughs were to be had. Some of the voice acting and character expressions are just too funny. Particularly Hakeev. I have to say, it was a somewhat nostalgic, yet also hilarious, treat.

I am liking the anniversary event itself in a way. Lots of choices for missions or queues. It's not just doing the same bloody thing day after day, at least.

The Delta Recruit event is now live. You can create a new Delta Recruit (although I don't think they gave a new slot with this one).
They have revamped the rewards for this given that the story arcs have changed. If you already have a Delta then take another look at the transponder and you'll find a bunch of new stuff to claim.

Hell, they just put out a new cash grab for ships apparently, I bet itll cost way too much

I understand people's frustration with game developer's more predatory practices. However, I would like to point out that this game is free to play so they do need to make money some how. They have bills to pay just like the rest of us. I am not a Cryptic apologist (even though it sounds like it) but there is only so much cynicism one can take.

Now on the the newly announce pack. I read through the article and it can actually be quite the bargain. You can pick any 3 of 8 bundles. Looking through the bundles and the FAQ below, you can get up to eight account unlocked T6 ships. Now that seems like a pretty darn good deal. I am sure it will cost a pretty penny. They did also state that it will be 50% off to start will too. I may just have to look into it......depending on the cost of course.
