Thanks; it took about 9 months of practice to get it to look kinda natural like real flame did the work.

Nice to see that the "p81 look" of TMP still lives on in Armada 2. Have you seen the TMP vessels on the battleclinic website? Lot of Starfleet Command modders did interesting things kitbashing the P81 Connie and Miranda.

Got 2 more burned up today:cool: Also have some info on the release structure. I had originally planed for this to be one big pack but the volume of textures involved I am going to have to break it up into smaller chunks. Pic of the 2 damaged hulls:thumbsup:

As always, quality work on the damage textures.

A bunch of smaller downloads would probably be better for downloaders, perhaps a few ships per pack or something.

Hey Starfox, any chance you'd be willing to do a hero Ambassador or two? They look great.

Well Constitution will have to be broken down into at least 2 DLs because of size. There wound up being several hundred meg of textures because each hero set has to be a full set too and there is more then 30 different hero conies:oops:

Alreading working in that direction will have some pic soon.

Hey Starfox, one of my biggest issues in the p81 Ambassador was its inaccurate proportions. Simply put, her secondary hull is a tad smaller than usual. With respect to Rick Knox, his work on the aft section is pretty botched. :silence:

I've attached an image superimposing the mesh with a detailed schematic. Think you can give this a fix on widening the girth and moving the pylons plus nacelles?

Or just porting over a better Ambassador model. A BC modder by the name of JLS made a really nice Ambassador a while back. Maybe he'll give permission if asked.

not an option as there are no other models at A2 poly weight for standard style play. The LC, DJ and JLS models are all to heavy for all but the best PCs :(

Starfox, I held up a plastic model of an Ambassador side-by-side with the monitor. They match up pretty well, I'd say 95% fidelity. Which is way better than the p81 Amber. Sad to say but Jet was absolutely right about that one. I can't wait to see the final product.

Done with damage meshes on the constitutions and have started in the execelsiors. Got the regestries done on the NX 2000 model What you all think?

Very cool, especially on the tweaks on the secondary hull, very smooth. But the registry looks a bit too large. Why not use my sets?

So, ETA on the Connie release?

Yea it might be or it might just be that it is in the worng place. I'm going to have to move those red lines out towrord the rim and the regestry will have to move too:( Oh well shouldn't take more then a day. That one reason why I'm not using yours. Another is that I want all the different ship signage to match no mater who has worked on them. Don't get me wrong I start out with your textures (which are a joy to work with:cool: )I just redo all the signage along with any other tweeks needed to get them working on these models.

1 more thing ni ETA yet; don't want to jinks myself:p
