Yea but you never said why they dumped the old number. I missed the 2848 refernce at the begining of the Personal comentary too
I figured since you did the TNG version first you hadn't planed a TMP version at that time. So the later TMP version was retcon and her number superseeded the other and was therefore the correct number. Definetly no disrespect intended. I'm just trying to match up all of your Constitutions with the other semicannon lists I used as backgound info for al the conis in the pac.
K I guess it time for a little history preview of the tech papers going out with the mod. As it stands right now this is the tentative construction and retierment history of the Constitution class
2236 Starfleet orders development of Constitution Class includes an order for 12 complete spacefames.
2237-2240 work on first 5 spaceframes proceed on schedual.
2241 Starfleet uncovers missmangement at the Hellas Planitia reactor design facilaties. Constitutions revolutionary warp reactor is years behind schedual. All spacefames will be delayed several years. Commodore Robert April assumes command of Constitution Class development project. Rear Admiral Beatrix Nguyen assumes command Hellas Planitia.
2245 Constitution joins the fleet in September. Enterprise in November. Other spaceframes proceed at 1 to 3 month intervals.
2247 Construction Block 1 complete hull numbers 1700-1711 inclusive.
2248 Block 2 ordered. Funding provided for hull numbers 1712-1726 inclusive. NCC-1017 is inserted into the production run to use earlier excluded hull number from a canceled hull. Name assigned USS Constellation.
2252 Block 1 hulls begin SLEP (Service Life Extention Program) to Block 2 spec.
2255 Block 2 construction complete.
2258 Block 3 ordered. Funding provided for hull numbers 1727-1744 inclusive. Blocks 1&2 begin SLEP to Block 3 spec as layover scheduals allow.
2265 Block 3 spec altered to include uprated shields and Navdelector. Designated Block3b
2270 New propultion and computer breakthroughs are ordered included into last 4 Block3b hulls. Designated Block3c. Hull numbers 1716, 1718-21, 1723-25, 1734, 1736, 1738, 1740 ordered refit to Block 3 c spec. Hull numbers 1700, 1704, 1710, and 1712-15 order refit to new Block 4 spec. Hull numbers 1701-07, 1722, and 1726 ordered refit to new Block 5 spec.
2272 Orders new Block 6 hull 1800-1832 as cheaper alternative to superior but expensive new build Block 5 hulls.
2275 Constitution class major refit programs complete.
2279 Block 6 construction complete. Profomance verses operation cost analisis indcates Block 6 was sub-par choice; no futher hulls ordered.
2280 Starfleet comissions design study to find sutable refit/replacement for current Constitution configuations. Excelsior class nears completion.
2284 All remaining Block 4, Block 5, and Block 6 hulls order refit to new Block 7 spec.
2285 CaT USS Enterprise lost. Refit program revilles metal fatigue in original strong back componets from Block 4 and Block 5 spaceframes. ADB concludes that these irreplaceable compentes dating from original construction are near the end of their service lives. Estimates indicate no more then 10 years of service left in most cases. Simalar problems found in Block 3 but not block 6 hulls. All remaining Block 3 hulls excluded from refit consideration and will retire after 2300.
2286 USS Yorktown NCC-1704 renamed USS Enterprise. Given hull number NCC-1701-A starting long standing tradition with ships named Enterprise.
2293 NCC-1701-A retiered due to spaceframe damage.
2294 The Khitomer Accords begin causing procument difficulties for Starfleet. First Block 8 hulls ordered as substitution for Excelsior class hulls not funded. StarFleet refers to the practice as trading. It is continued until the Tomed Incident in 2211 when Starfleet was finally able to regain more control over appropreations because of public oppinion.
2295-2305 5 additional hulls ordered each year. Finall count is 60. Block 7 hulls uprated from Blocks 4&5 and Block 3 hulls begin retiring.
2310 Block 8 construction ends. All hull numbers predating 1800 are retired.
2322 All remaining Block 7 hulls begin retiering due to end of spaceframe life.
2330 Select hulls of Block 8 begin to be upgraded to Block 9 spec for special mission status. Over hulls placed in Inactive Reserve.
2350s Block 9 hulls receive spaceframe rejuvination as part of there SLEP refits.
2373 25 Block 8 hulls beginning with NCC-2848 USS Wyvern are chosen for overhull to modern standards. Designated Block10.
2376 Refits completed. Block 10 ships expected to serve at least until 2450 barring battle extinction.
You know I considered new construction after 2376. The TNG hull numbers would work great for that.
