Hey Starfox since we're on topic on the TOS birds, have you ever fixed some of the smoothing errors in the mesh? I'm curious if you rebuilt some parts of it.

not completely; it may be an exporter problem

Very nice, mate:thumbsup:

thanks

That's fair enough the only advantage of the way I now do it is that you can cut down the amount of textures and size of the download. But you need some knowledge with MS3D or other program in the may of mesh and texture application methods.

true and i'm just not quit comfortable there yet

Yeah, some pretty cool stuff there. Classic Cargo ship FTW! I also see a Yeager-inspired kitbash too, well done.

Btw, didn't k_merse already port that SNS Akira?

Thanks, I don't know if k_merse did or not. I rediscovered that is P81s mesh with SNS textures so I plan on replacing my P81 model with this one:cool: The Huron is an old model by Atrahasis. Infact the sight I found it on is gone so I don't know where else you can find it right now:confused:

She is suppose to be the first in a line of models that take the various study models that have made it on screen and give them the polioshing that the Nebula, New Orleans, and Cheyenne, Classes did.

Great work mate, I love them, especially the TMP like deflector version, is that a re-built Excalibur after the M-5 Incident or a test-bed or something using new tech?

Well For when she was shot up Excalibur could have been rebuilt to these specs however she was rebuilt to Enterprise refit specs just 5 years later so it is unlikly they shelled out the money for the overhull. Based on my research and the timeline I have established for this project Starfleet revised the Batch3(Achernar Class) specifaction in 2265 to incorperate new tech into the hulls still under construction and extended the order from NCC-1744 to NCC-1764. Ultimatly all hulls not refited in the later refit program would be upgraded to the design.

The 2270 TMP refit program ran with 3 competing designs and further extended the order to NCC-1799. Endevor which was the least changed design got hulls NCC-1716, NCC-1718 thru NCC-1721, NCC-1723 thru NCC-1725, NCC-1728 thru NCC-1731, NCC1734, NCC-1736, NCC-1738, NCC-1740, and NCC-1765 thru NCC-1779.

Constitution II was an middel of the road (think PhaseII enterprise) refit got NCC-1700, NCC-1704, NCC-1710, NCC-1712 thru NCC-1715, and NCC-1780 thru NCC-1889.

Enterprise refit got NCC-1701 thru NCC-1703, NCC-1705 thru NCC-1707, NCC-1722, NCC-1726, and NCC-1790 thru NCC-1799.

No limit mate, we do it manually by FTPing the file to the site then linking to it via the Download form.

You'll need to use yousendit (or something similar) to email it to the File Account, but it's not a problem being that size for the upload. It will just take a bit longer to get up, but it's all good.

I'll take a rain check on that man. I'm sure people already know that if it's from starfox, it's sure to be quality work all around.

No need to show off silly screenshots from an overrated hack like me. It'd just add to the file size. (j/k) :p

But seriously, I'm not really feeling up to it, sorry.

Cool I'm having an odd problem with my hero ships. The game is completely ignoring the wireframs:confused: I'm using the same texture for the blank hulls and hero hulls and the blanks are working so WTF?

Had the same problem with the BSG mod. It was one of the reasons its taken so long to finish, I had to revert back to earlier file versions and update them becasue after several weeks of cutting, pasting and retyping lines in the sprite file I just gave up.

However, I did have a recurrance of the problem with a later ship, I found that the sod filename had an error in it and that the odf and sod files were different. In the sprite file I had been using the odf file name, changing it to match the sod filename solved the problem.
