Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.
Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.
We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.
That sounds like a good idea.Looking great, I would love to see a couple with the Apollo, Daedalus and Odyssey together in formation in normal space and hyperspace.
Well I guess I can use the gallery as a more permanent home for my finished scene and still use here as a wip and discussion thread leading up to my finished works. If RJB wants a Gallery I can set one up.

Thank you Majestic and I look forward to making some submissions in that week or so.Okay I will see about setting up a new one in the next week or two. Need to reorganize the gallery a bit and create a new usergroup.
I see no harm in posting the finish ones both here and in the gallery. I find you get more responces posting them in the forums than in a gallery.
Thank you Majestic and I look forward to making some submissions in that week or so.
And the good thing about the thread is you can see what lead up to the final work which some people may be able to learn from. It also lets people see the finish work and give me some input before I make it 100% final.
Again I want to thank you all for make me feel so welcomed here.
Feel free to ask away if you got a question. Can I ask a slightly off-topic question?
Do you 'make' the backgrounds yourself? (In Photoshop or something similar) or just do a lot of internet searches?
Because they look awesome, and spiffy space backgrounds like the ones you're using are kinda hard to come by... At least it seems that way to me...
Well I start by making the basic shape of the model and once I'm happy with the way it looks I start at one end and start adding detail. Basically I start simple and build up from that to make the final high polygon model.I just have to say :Y :Y :Y .
How did you get started doing these ships?
I Was wondering if that gallery was set up yet or if there are other galleries of other work you have done.
Thank you and it may be a bit of await till I get my Tempest done. Once it's done I think I'll do a fleet scene showing off all my Tau'ri ships. If I may; PM is short for Private Message.
-RJB- those pictures are great. Can't wait to see more of them.
Ok PM has been sent and I hope you enjoy.hey thanks. And to RJB I would realy apresiate that thanks.
Ohh, now that I look forward to The RPG ship I run is called the Tempest... Granted it's Star Trek not Stargate... But oh well.Thank you and it may be a bit of await till I get my Tempest done. Once it's done I think I'll do a fleet scene showing off all my Tau'ri ships.
Right now my Tempest is my pride and joy since it's the calumniation of all I learned while making my other SG ships but I guess it is a fairly common name.Ohh, now that I look forward to The RPG ship I run is called the Tempest... Granted it's Star Trek not Stargate... But oh well.
Ok I thought it was only based on linking them on the main forum where it was viewable by everyone.Remember PMing off site links is considered advertising, unless approved by a Admin.
No this is just a hobby for me.have you created any video games?
Also is linking to tutorials also counting as advertising?
