• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

Only one MOS as far I am concerned - 19 Kilo, lol. Kidding aside, maybe something in aviation? Lots of civilian life applications. Or some type of trade, such as heavy equipment operator.

Sounds like an idea. My scores on the ASVAB were high enough that I am not sure if there is a job I would not qualify for.

It is a good thing that I am a person who believes in doing what I am suppose to do nomatter what..... That is about my only reason for doing anything in this unit.... I will be so glad to come home and that has nothing to do with being in Afghanistan....

Wow, I really do feel like I help run a glorified truck stop now. Ofcourse my work is right by the only highway around..... we had a Canadian Shanook helicopter land in the parking lot to ask for directions to a base we had never heard of...... I think that beats just about any "asking for directions" story I have ever heard.... :lol2::lol2::lol2:

Lol. Awesome.
You have my absolute respect for serving "over there" in such a country. Give my countrymen a clap on the back for me, if you happen to meet German soldiers. :)

Wow, I do not even know where to begin... My Captain had a heart to heart with everyone to "try to fix the unit".....now anyone who voiced major issues with her is being sent to work at battalion, leaving the rest of us to pick up the slack here.... Is it good when even the senior NCOs have major issues with the way things are happening? Guess we shall see in the next episode of "the 481st MCT".....

Wish I could say it was like that here.... but we even have people who have served over 25 years who still have no idea what is wrong with the unit.. the unit itself works great together but the head of the unit locally is the problem.... this has been discovered after the whole unit had to talk to combat stress twice, the captain, the Lt, battalion chaplain, and now the battalion Sargent Major.... It is to the point she(the Captain) is trying to send 25% of the unit to battalion or home just so the rest of us will work ourselves to dead.

The job is super easy, the schedule we had was the best, and the location was one of the safest....it is the command that is making it a flaming pit.

Here is to hoping that battalion does something to save the unit from the one causing all the issues.....

Hello, eh? Seems we got a wee bit lost, eh? Can you tell us where Camp XXXX is aboot from here, eh? Here, have a hockey puck, eh? :lol2:

Also - not only Military managerial types pull that trick - its been used from the dawn of time by politicians, autocrats, plutocrats and office managers...

"Let a thousand flowers bloom" indeed...

From what you said, it just a command issue. Then your commander needs replaced it happen daily all over the military.

The thing is that some commanders are grate commanders in a Conous setting ( Good at leading in the training cycle ) But can't handle the Battle stress of command in a combat zone this type commanders should be move to Tradoc as soon as they are identified , but with that said the test is all be it is the combat stress.

Exactly, but our battalion can not guarantee anything for us. The work schedule we are looking at in another week if nothing changes is 12-14 hour days every day for the rest of the deployment. So, we are going to be at perfect strength to work as long as no one gets sick, injured, awol, or sent home. so, if anything else happens then the unit will be unable to complete its current mission.

"perfect strength" No such thing, Having a contingency team on stand by is better because any thing can happen my friend.

Command rule : Have more re sorceress is all ways better ; in other words
have just enough is falling short.

I completely agree with you. I even told my NCOs the math on the unit. They had not broke it down yet. They agreed with me after they heard my explanation of the numbers. So, either battalion fixes the issue before it happens or it becomes only a matter of time before the unit is replaced for not being able to do its mission.

If the unit is replaced its a Mission-critical failure

An Command Mission-critical failure. Unacceptable in any case if that happen your commander can kiss there commission good by that goes on there (ORB) Officer Record Brief. It is a flag code that dose not come off ever and they will find them self in Front of a inquiry board fast.

That will only be a matter of time unless the battalion commander does something about it in this next week. this next week is when the 25% of the unit leaves...
