This is pretty awesome. Do you plan to paint it at all? Maybe put the Chimera pattern on it?All the major parts finished being printed! Now the real work begins...
Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.
Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.
We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Yes, in fact, that exactly! It will also be back lit and the engines will light upThis is pretty awesome. Do you plan to paint it at all? Maybe put the Chimera pattern on it?
That's so cool. keep us updated.Yes, in fact, that exactly! It will also be back lit and the engines will light up
Haha most of them are actually board games. A few runoff fantasy books from my wife's otherwise quite large collection. I previously modeled/designed a bookcase to go over our bed in our bedroom, and thats where the majority of them are. That moment when I start trying to zoom in and read the books on your shelf as well haha.
Beautiful! I recognize a fair number of those titles. We've got similar tastes haha.Haha most of them are actually board games. I wish the pc game Star Wars: Empire at War would have given Thrawn a Star Destroyer with that design, instead of giving him a blue Star Destroyer. But alas, Empire at War came long before the Rebels cartoon. Nice work though.Haven't gotten to painting the Chimera yet, but I did glue it up, and in the mean time, I printed another helmet. This one, a tie pilot's. Toying with painting it up just like the Chimera... see renders.
Thankfully many mods correct this issue.I wish the pc game Star Wars: Empire at War would have given Thrawn a Star Destroyer with that design, instead of giving him a blue Star Destroyer. But alas, Empire at War came long before the Rebels cartoon. Nice work though.
Now that's a thing of beauty.I appreciate the kind comments! I was actually really disappointed with how it came out... I am terrible at freehand painting... But that's why I have a laser for things like the Chimaera!
I can't attach the time lapse of the Laser doing it's job, but it took about 30 minutes for a full pass and I did two passes to cut though the tape without burning the model.
