Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.
Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.
We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.
And the first of the ship nearing completion; A ship that need no interduction.
I cannot wait for this one.
Niiice!
Vader would be proud, a fine ship!
What ship is that?
Great work on the model.
Looks great!
All the other SW ISDs and VSDs we've seen over the years, the textures look a little...too "busy", if you know what I mean. I wonder how this one would look if the textures for the hull and superstructure sides had some of the details removed? Maybe about a 10% reduction in lightmaps, along with a similar reduction in the aztecing and detailing on the hull plates? I will probably try this for myself after you release her.
Not nitpicking here. Nor am I sniping. It just seems my eye gets drawn into the details and with the inevitable texture overlap and minor errors which occur no matter how we try. The previously released ISDs and VSDs seem to be "off" just enough to jar me out of the immersive experience I am always looking for in any game.
where did the three heavy guns come from? I don't remember them on any of the shots I've seen before? Unless this is meant to be a Victory or Imperator.
There are heavy cannons on ISDs. Four on both sides. What surprised me that I remembered, that all four are identical, but now it looks like that it has one ion cannon and three turbolasers on one side.
I thought that the four heavys each side were identical too, but then again that comes more from playing Rogue Leader on the Gamecube than anything else. They were all ions cannons there.
Calling on all people with military knowledge; please help me ID the origin of these gun turrets. They where used on the studio model of the ISD for the 1st Star Wars movie
Did they make ship models that big in 77-78? I was only like 2
Isn't the bridge a bit too thick?
Didn't get alot done on her today but had time for on or 2 tests and a bit of humor I call the first one David eyeing Goliath and the second A Bad Negotiating Position
