• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

What is the most memorable thing that happened to you today?

Tell you what, CF. Get them to send your car to me, and you can keep that Chev....... :D

Well, the best part about things in general is that after yesterday, I think my girlfriend and I might just make it all the way....... at least, her mom already thinks so. And so does she...... :)

I wish I could...I wish you both the best in life and love. I realized today that if I want to achieve my financial goals by mid-2008 or end of 2008. Then I need to find a second job for about 3 or 4 months to save up the capital to start everything. Now I am deciding how to proceed.

Well, checked on my car at the body shop. They just got the parts in today to replace the door. So, I must suffer till Friday or Monday with the rental. I am just glad the other guy's insurance is paying the bill. LOL... also, I went and applied for a job at a local radio station. They want someone to read the news on the air and do some stuff with the morning show. One of the requirements is computer knowledge. Think I got that down. LOL...I am waiting for them to call back.

You know, you lucky. Around here, there's no such things as the other guy's insurance paying the whole thing. Your fault or not, you gotta pay part of it to your insurance company....."Excess" I think they call it.....

Kinda like us having to pay per download/upload amount we use in a month. Yep, no once-off fee and then unlimited usage thing...... grrrrrrr......

My most interesting thing......realizing this morning that I'd forgotten my shoes at my girlfriend's place last night......watching scary movies for Halloween.....

Yes I am lucky on that. I am just glad he had insurance. Otherwise I would have had to pay it and then go through small claims court. That would have been a pain. I got the car back today. I put 1000 miles on the rental in exactly a week. The total cost to his insurance was just below $1,500... Now I have to adjust back to my car...LOL

No complaining! I told you what to do. Send me yours, and keep the rental! :D :)

Hope the cost teaches him a thing or two.....

Well, my best thing is that I get to wake up next to my Love tomorrow morning.......purrrrrrrrr..........me ma ain't too happy, but hey, whatever!

I dont think she will have to worry about that. She'll probably just beat them with their own Bat'leths if they try anything funny.

I trust it was a good show then.

It was AWESOME! David Lee Still tries to do his spin kicks, However the guy in the row behind me was doing a better job at it lol.

You know, you lucky. Around here, there's no such things as the other guy's insurance paying the whole thing. Your fault or not, you gotta pay part of it to your insurance company....."Excess" I think they call it.....

That blows. Here (well here in Massachusetts we work differently then everywhere else in the world when it comes to insurance, but thats beside the point) If you get into an accident and you are found at fault, you pay your deductable and you get points on your liscense that amout to surcharges that you have to pay on your insurance for the next 6 years. If you are found 50% at fault, you have to pay the deductable, but you dont get the surcharge. If you are found not responsible, you dont even have to pay the deductable, and you get no points.

And let me tell ya. You have to fight Tooth and Nail to get anything out of insuance companies around here. If you slip up and say the wrong thing it gets automatically held against you and you have no chance of getting found not responsible unless you wanna take the Insurance company to court for it.

And yes Ive had this happen a few times and ive got 7 points on my liscense to show for it. and an extra 600$ a year i have to pay on my insurance. I realy hate this state.

Thanks. :) Though there weren't any Klingons there. But if it were, I would rather say they should watch out for me so I don't assimilate them...

Well, the second and last day is over of the convention. It has been fun, and I had the chance to assimilate a few Starfleet officers...

By the way, it was numerous scifi people there. Among others I spooked a ringwraith from LOTR and a few stormtroopers (there one of them tried to hide)!

Lets see. Tomorrow I get to take my car back to the body shop for them to put power locks back on the replaced door. And today I helped my room mate move out. Good thing is I got all my finances straight now. So, I make enough to cover all the bills. :excited: Now I will see if my health holds up to the strain.

My wife (is a teacher) and just passed her OFSTED visit (UK school inspectors), so the most memorable thing to happen to me, is she has stopped stressing and calmed down, so I can chill out too ......

Well, My car developed a small electrical problem. Not sure what it is but I have now gone through 2 batteries in 2 months. I am checking to see if it will atleast hold a charge for an hour while sitting without running. If so. I could use it on my job. If not, I would have to stay outside all night again in a car with no heater. The car I am using as a loaner has no heat and it was below freezing last night and I think it is suppose to be below freezing again.:cry2: :cry2:

The most memorable thing that happened to me... Well, the entire day of every day that I've been here (in Brazil) has been memorable in itself.

Today's most memorable thing is refueling the car i've hired. They actually use alcohol to fuel cars here too! It's so much cheaper too, and works in petrol engines. Yeah it's not quite as good for the engine, but
- a) it's CHEAPER (i know i said it before, but it's such a big reason it's worth mentioning twice)
- b) it's not MY car

Of course, I'm here in Brazil, alone, and can not speak Portuguese... something tells me I didn't quite plan this trip too well. Especially as, when I got on the bus originally, I was only going to Skegness...

am looking at much the same thing with my car
.... but it's all good in the hood, and as long a sit keeps going for a little while longer I should be able to afford a replacement....

The most memorable thing yesterday? Well that is between me and my wife, but the most memorable thing I'd tell you about was sitting and watching through Die hard 3 and chuckling all over again as Samuel J and Bruce W got steadily more beaten to heck while still finding time to be complete ***** to all and sundry...

Edit: Post edited for language. Not that bad but still a family site. -Crazyfrog1903

Woke up on New Years day with really bad Stomach pains. And no, I didn't have that much to drink. Must have caught something, but it didn't do me any wonders when sleeping on a Sofa.

Well today me and my friend's family went out on the dune buggies, and out to "aerobunda" (a 'death slide' kinda thing into the lake), sandboarding, etc...

But the most unforgettable part was when I saw this, the river crossing for the dune buggies (and normal cars too). It was so surreal, I dunno about you but I've never seen anything like it in my life!

This holiday has been just unbeliveable, seriously... wow!

I stayed up for 2 or 3 straight days with work. Finally I passed out from total exhaustion. Then today I was woken up by the mother of my children telling me she almost died over New Years. Apparently she has been doing between $150 and $300 in drugs (cocaine, crank, and a few others) a day for 4 months and last Saturday she decided to get off them cold turkey. Her system went into withdraw and she was in the hospital getting pumped with fluids. Her temp dropped to 91 degrees F. Atleast I did not have to explain to my kids that thier mother almost died. Although she has not made a trip to see them in over a year now.

I am waiting out tornadoes in my area. Fun! Waiting to see if the storm that is suppose to hit in 10 or 15 minutes has enough activity to take cover or not. I am already stuck at some family's home till it passes. As my drive home is in the direct path of some strong straight winds or a tornado.

There have been some twisters but I think the closest rotation was barely north of where I am now. Gotta love this weather. LOL

Well, had an interesting 2 weeks. In the last 2 weeks I have moved, quit 1 job, Kept another one, and been offered a job dealing with computer graphics online. All while being sick and totally exhausted. But I did have time to take alittle of money to casino and win 500 dollars. So, I paid to switch phone providers. So, now I got a new number and a cool phone. Its basily a PDA. It runs off of Windows mobile. Now I can go on with life without worring about certain people in my past calling out of the blue. Some of the past can stay there.
