• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

What is the most memorable thing that happened to you today?

Most memoriable thing for me is I found out today that my special someone has been playing me for a year and a half and never actually cared anything about me. I am happy to atleast know the truth now even though she was the love of my life. She has done something noone in my past has been able to do. Play me for so long without me having a clue. She deserves a cookie!!  :lol2: :lol2:

Ouch, dude. That's seriously uncool......hope you find someone who really does care for you soon, CF......

Well, today, I discovered that the 20 degree celcius days we've been having for so long, are coming to an end. With a bang! Today: 16min to 29max.....

It seems like then there first is one problem, the next will soon arrive...

Now my modem got broken at jome, so I have no internet connection at all then I'm at my appartement! I guess you understand by that that I'm not at home now, and that's true I'm not.
I'm at the library, and have only one hour to they close and then I must wait to after work tomorrow to get back on the net...

Anyway, I have already mentioned to the internet company that gives me netaccess about the problem. And they have already sent a new modem to me. Hopefully will I have it soon as it is kind of boring not having any internet connection at all...

I am not to worried about it. With the money I save by not having to support her. Within 6-12 months I can have enough money to start up a few business ideas. Then within 2 years I should be able to make 10 times what I am now. So, it is her loss. I have decided to take a long break from attempting to date. Can have some fun being single.

The net is temporarily back up again (yes, I'm at home now), but I don't know how long it's gonna last...

It is good to know that if it does go down again. You could still get online somewhere. I am working on trying to get internet at my apartment sometime in the next 2 months. I currently have to go to my mother's house to get online.

And I'm stuck getting on at work only, as having 'net access at home is prohibitively expensive in RSA.....

Well, I went to get into my car for work and it is going haywire on me. A dead battery would not cause the alarm to go off when I have the alarm turned off. And it won't start. Fun!

Well, I have spent the day sitting around doing nothing. The best guess anyone has on my car is maybe when someone backed into it. Something got knocked loss in the alarm system and has prevented the car from doing anything. I am going crazy not being able to go home and relax.:yuck:

Do you have a car jack, if so try and elivate the front of the car (be careful), some alarms have a shunt system, which activates upon impact, but this can be overruled by jacking the car up (the car thinks its being towed away and shuts up).

Well, had it checked out and the akternator and the battery are burned out in it. It is atleast $200+ in parts alone. But I think it should be fixed by noon today.

Hmm, there was something I got unsure of what to do with as it seems that then I tried to boot Windows I got the message that the file was damaged. Now it`s too late at night to call my brother, so I must wait `till tomorrow to call him and hear what to do. I have though backup of the entire main hard drive, and that backup has been moved over to the reserve hard drive.

I have called my brother about this problem and also mentioned that my keyboard all of the sudden doesn't recognise the Norwegian standards that it did before, i. e. the Norwegian letters are gone. He told me that the crash had gotten the computer to go to default, and agreed that a new reinstall was needed. But since I have never done such a thing before, he told me to wait 'till he comes to my place to fix it. So I hope that no one needs to speak to me at MSN in a week, since that's how long I must wait to him to come here as he didn't have time earlier...

I'm quoting all this to say that my modem arrived today so the net is working fine again. :)
Also, I want to tell you that my brother has fixed my computer, so my MSN is back online again as all the other stuff.

Well, changed out the battery and then hooked the computer back up to the car and it said the alternator was fine. Guess the battery was so bad that it made everything else look bad. So, it only cost less than $50 to fix. :excited: :excited:

A week ago I burned myself with a cigarette lighter just to see how it would feel. :lol2: Darwin Award here I come! j/k

I'm in one of those impossible moods today, pretty much one of those moods you'd imagine someone would be if they were in the dessert without water. Being sick all day isn't too awesome. And seeing that some things about me hasn't changed much in 2 years makes it a whole lot more fun (about as much fun as colliding with a 18-wheeler at 100 mph combined speed).

We too had blinking frost here this morning, so I had to skip biking to my work as I feared it would be ice on the road. Thus I took a cab insted to get to work.

Ouchy.....we rarely have frost here. Climate's normally too warm.....but, it's been getting colder in winter, and warmer in summer for a few years now. And noticably so...... :help:

And my most memorable thing ain't happened yet, but I'm seeing my girlfriend later (she's bringing me lunch at work). That'll be my moment.....seeing her.......purrrrr......

I can still remember being in the North of Oz in the middle of their 'winter' living in shorts and shades and catchin my dinner from the beach with a fishing rod made out of bamboo and string....

what i say.... a little flooding, a few meaasly cities going underwater and massive desertification... so what... bring on the global warming!

Took my car to the shop to get the door replaced. Also, get to drive a new rental till then. That car only has 700 miles on it. Best of all. It won't cost me a dime. The other guy's insurance is paying for it all. :excited:

You guys won't have to worry about that stuff soon I hope. If the project gets off the ground, you won't ever have to worry about working while freezing your @#$es off again!

I agree with you Elrond. Atleast I can kinda enjoy this week. With my car in the shop. I must "suffer" with a 2008 Chevy HHR to drive. I'm enjoying it alittle to much. LOL.
