This was suppose to be a good week. I had taken the week off of work to take my son camping with his cub scout pack then prepare the house for new carpet. Everything started out just as planned. Camping trip went without a hitch. Came home and cleaned out the house and pulled up all of the old carpet. Day one, the baking element in the stove went out. My wife had prepared a meatloaf for supper and we had to use the broiler to cook it. Day two of pulling carpet, I am working in my oldest child's room when my wife asks me if I have seen the dog's face. I go out and see the dog with a swollen face. We take her to the vet and while waiting, I see it, she had been bitten by a snake. Most likely it was a copperhead as the is the only type of venomous snake I have ever seen in the yard. Went snake hunting but, never found the culprit. Back to work on the house after fixing the stove. Last night, the dog starts vomiting. Take her back to the vet today to find she is borderline dehydrated and may be having a reaction to the antibiotics she was given. While my wife was at the vet with the dog, I take my youngest to her speech class. When leaving, I hear a low hum from the rear end of my truck while backing out of my spot. When I put the truck in drive, gears are grinding. I stop the truck for a moment then continue after the grinding stopped. I have to rebuild my differential. Get home and now we are ready for the carpet to get installed. Installers show up and, as they are backing into the drive, their van rolls off the edge of the drive into the ditch. I use my truck to pull them out (didn't really want to but, I needed them to work on my house, not their truck). They come in to measure out and it starts to rail. The installer explains to me the damages that can occur with the rain. So now the install is postponed for a week. I have already went without my PC for two weeks so I set it back up. Any who, just needed to vent a bit.
TL-DNR: Week was suppose to be good with new carpet but instead, it sucked with no new carpet.
