• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

I swear to Kosh the next mouse I'm getting will be wireless. The cord keeps getting caught on something and it's driving me nuts.

Yeah, but then you have the problem with batteries like I do. It sucks when I am in the middle of combat and either the game minimizes with the system warning that my mouse is critical or the mouse just quits working altogether.

I don't play online so I don't need to worry about pausing to get batteries. As for the pop-ups, there has to be a way to disable that. And that happening about once a week sounds a lot better than fixing the cord four or five times a day.

Yeah, you can disable the notices. I have on mine. It is still a bother when the mouse quits while in the middle of something. Online or otherwise. :lol2:

I'll be moving later this week so I may be offline for a few days after Friday. Thought you should know.

I should move more often. I think I just found at least 100 USD worth of old trading cards.

Congrats, it is amazing how much old stuff you find them cleaning up. Because I rent I keep my junk to a minimum. Kat and I have less than half of what we had in early 2010.

See that is what I like about my Laser mouse, no pop-ups when batteries die plus it has an indicator on the mouse when my batteries are almost dead so I change them when it starts flashing if I'm playing a game hehe

Ditto on that feeling, being in a college apartment will do the same thing. Until last year I could fit everything I owned into two suitcases and a backpack...not so much now...methinks I need to get on Amazon and start listing stuff...

Hmm I might just get on after the weekend and give it another go, have Maj's birthday party tomorrow so will have a house full! Omg so much cooking! So glad we finally have a nice big house with a huge kitchen, at least in comparison to the last place we lived which only had enough bench space to put an electric frying pan and a kettle, you couldn't even serve up on the benches everyone had to hold their own plates and get in line!

I've decided I actually am going to keep the floppies as coasters. Now my only question is whether I should use the labels that came with them and mark them "coaster.exe" or leave them blank.

Definitely put 'coaster.exe' on them! But put a layer of packing tape down on them as well...that way the condensation won't be an issue.

My dad used to get game demos from a magazine and turn them into coasters. I like the label idea. You could add "moisture catcher.dll" and other such labels.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. Anyway, I'm tearing down my computer now and won't be back until the eleventh. Don't kill the site while I'm gone.

Is that why there are Rangers ready to "isolate me" from the rest of the universe? Again... I swear B5 was NOT my fault (or B4, B3, etc).
