Wait... Amazon Video not Cbs
I am wondering if it will be similar to how they handled Discovery with Netflix. On CBS All Access in the US and Amazon around the rest of the world.

Sadly.

Yes that is the case CBS All Access in the US and Amazon around the rest of the world.

 so unfair

So Australia is not scheduled to get it?
Austrialia should get it on Amazon Prime Video at the same time it airs on All Access in the US.

I'm afraid. I hope this will be good. I hope not everything that has been said about the series is Marketing Blabla.

Please let the staffers know to do their homework first. Although the Vineyard roughly matches up on what we saw on All Good Things, so they're trying to make a good impression.

There's also some set leaks on the post-Nem uniforms. Looks like they're evoking a 93-01 DS9/VOY style look.

Hello:
I agree with Jetfreak , they are trying to give a good impression with the vineyards and the bottles of wine Chateau Picard.

About the uniforms, I honestly hoped for the futuristic uniforms from "All Good Things..." , but maybe not because that was a Q-made future.

Picard looks very promising! I reallllllllly hope Patrick Stewart's invoking some creative incentive to this interesting future. I'm glad they got the vineyard going strong, but I hope to wonder about a few things.
1) Seeing older versions of past crew mates
2) Perhaps a guest visit from Q
3) Perhaps seeing new and wonderful starships in play :)

I hold no hope for Picard as in the end the Star Trek Universe we so love and remember has been buried since 2005. Already it's confirmed that2009 Star Trek occurrences will be included, and that no Cast from TNG has been contacted for any role in at least the opening season. Despite shelving Kurtzman, this will STILL be another Bad Robot Creation, and that spells disaster as they make Fred Friedberger look like a Genius.

As far as I am aware, the only aspects of Star Trek 2009 that will be included within this series is the destruction of Romulus, the alternate timeline itself will not be referenced. Of course, I could be mistaken or their plans might have changed since the initial concept that was explained.

As far as the series itself, I will have to await reviews and summarized episode guides to determine how I feel about it. I do not have CBS All Access and I will not get it; not for this series or any other.

I like every version of Trek. My favorite Trek will always be TOS and TMP (1-6). I also like the Kelvin movies as their own version of the Trek multiverse. And while I do not love the TNG Prime timeline, I like it well enough and enjoy it for what it was.

I don't need callbacks or nostalgic references to TNG; just make Picard true to Jean-Luc Picard (Even if he is changed) and make it an interesting story with rich characters. That's enough for me.

You are right, nobody needs callbacks or nostalgic references.
I hope for intelligent stories, yes drama too, more stories about humans and their place in the universe, many science in science fiction, less artificial-looking effects.

But "To hope and to wait keeps some a fool", sorry a bad german translation.

I see no intelligence in the latest brand of Star Trek. I see a bunch of unlikeable characters and throwbacks to give it the appearance of Star Trek. There is no Character building as much as labeling which is like an ongoing series that lacks good storytelling. The idea that this "New Concept" in creating a "New timeline" is simply a tool to do something that is impossible, destroy Star Trek. Despite these efforts, all they've created is a Quagmire of where we've been, and with Bad Robot still in charge, it will end up that way. I doubt the Picard series will be the Old Picard we knew seeing already the production has changed, and handed off to people that don't even know the source material. Of course, this is my opinion. I have nothing against anyone that likes the Kelvin Timeline, or Discovery. I just can't cherish them seeing I can't accept that 50 years of memories can be so easily discarded when I can still see the episodes today. I guess I am just too old to like something I already loved.

Why?! It is your choise. Nobody takes anything away from you.
When I saw STD, I was just totally disappointed. But why, I ask me, this is only a perversion of ST, a Reboot, made for people who used to hate ST in the past, you must read Interviews with Furtzmann.
I don't care about this new "Star Trek".
And TOS, DS9, TNG are still there and for me is that enough. I will not see the xth modification of Star Trek, I will see new things.
Star Trek in 2019 is just a franchise like Mcdonalds, good for quick starvation but detrimental to health and I don'tt support this greedy franchise.
I believe this is the Result of my 37 Years, that I'm became more critical.

But, if I go to a ST Convention, then I will go as DS9 Klingon and then I will visit the STD Panel and then I confront the STD Nogons and then ... I will eat their hearts. (This is a joke)

Everyone has their cruxes when things are continued by showrunners with "different" visions than the original. I despise the new Star Wars films, for example, save for Rogue One.

I enjoy the Kelvin timeline because, outside of the destruction of Romulus, it does not have any bearing on the Prime universe. This means that I can enjoy the original reality as designed by Roddenberry and his late 80s and early 90s successors, while also getting a new "Elseworlds" narrative with its own distinct tone, aesthetic and development. If I could not accept the Kelvin universe because it is so different from the Prime reality, I would be unable to accept the Mirror Universe or any other "alternate reality" that has been used by any given series for the same reason.

Besides, as a fan of James T. Kirk, I am glad to have a new timeline that does not end with him pathetically crushed under a bridge, alone in some pointless venture of stopping one of the most substandard villains in one of the most substandard movies in the franchise from jumping into the space Matrix to interact with avatars of his dead family. This would be the same as if Star Trek Picard ended up dying from slipping on a banana peel and hitting his head on the side of the counter in the final episode of the new series and that ended Jean-Luc's legacy. Ugh.

Nevertheless, I am heartened that there is a possibility for having Treks with different tones for different fans. This way, more than just the hardcore classic formula fans have something to enjoy from the universe. Of course, that's just me. :)

And for the new US trailer...

Looks like the Romulans may finally be getting some fleshing out. And there are two characters that I didn't expect to see.

Between Top Gun 2, and the launch of the mid engine Corvette, this week just keeps getting better!

Pretty floored with all the behind the scenes Trek news, keep em' coming.

Hello:
The trailer was so exciting! It make me want to watch the series and I hope it will be great.

It makes me wish Aad Moerman was able to see all of this.

At SDCC 2019 it was also confirmed that both William Riker and Deanna Troi will appear in the series. Jonathan Frakes will also direct one or more episodes.

Let's see how this pans out.

I just got one question, when did they start using a Standard Day Clock in a Borg Cube, with Romulan writing as well. I'm going to have to past of Star Trek Picard, I smell the stench of Kurtzman.

According to the Countdown comics, the Romulans retrofitted the mining vessel Narada with Borg tech. (it originally looked like this) I'm guessing that this cube is where the Romulans got the Borg tech.

But the entire Board makes no sense. It's written in English and is Basically a Chalkboard. I mean, don't they still have PADD's, and Technology? I mean it's out of place and totally dumbs down the scene. It may as well be a Warehouse in Little Ferry, NJ.

This trailer has me overjoyed honestly, I cannot wait to see what they have in store for us.

It also broke my faith in this fandom, like damn people, this is literally what people have been asking for and the whiners cry "not good enough." Then go watch another damn show, you're stinking up the place, honestly. You wanna stay in classic Trek, that's fine, stay there.
