• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Some nice in-game shots of her Thunder. Gryphon class would be best for her as her predcessor, the Midway uses them, as the Valkyrie were being phased out at the beginning of the RPG, and this is set like 25 years later I believe.

Galactica anyone? :lol2:

But I have one ship in the class, USS John Majest NCC-91004, whose Captain is a bit of an anachronism. Ivan Aleksandrovitch Tukachevskii is very fond of antiques(he prefers the term, 'classics', lol) in general. He has rescued one of the last flights of Valks in the Starfighter Corps from, 'the grubby, sticky fingers of eight year olds on a school field trip to the Starfleet Museum.' Probably has a lot to do with the fact as a Dooley he was assigned to a Valkyrie squadron as his first duty station way back when. His callsign is, "Bouncer", given him by a long suffering squadron commander who noticed Tukachevskii's spectacular ability to make his Valk leapfrog back into the air numerous times while attempting to land. I believe the question asked of the young pilot after his first near disastrous recovery aboard Starbase 296 was,

"What was that? You call that a landing? Are you allergic to gravity, Lieutenant?"

The Danube class would be about halfway thru its service life but with upgrades to systems and the space frame, would still be a viable asset I think.

Just pointing a few things out, in the end it's all up to the individual user what they do with the ship. :)

Naming a ship after me? That ship is going to have a lot of bad luck. You watch it will be the poor unfortunate that gets sucked into a blackhole. :lol2:

Hey...don't they usually only name ships after dead people?:lol2:

Oh, and for some reason, I have the sudden urge to retexture a viper with the name plate "Bouncer":lol:

the Danube class of even the Talon class would work well as would this ...

Arrow Class Runabout

arrow_specs1.jpg

arrow_angle.jpg

Arrow Class Runabout
Dimensions:
Length: 20 Meters
Decks: 1
Crew: 1 Pilot
Supportable Crew: Living accommodations for five but can Suport up to 13 by "hot racking : the signing of more than one crewmember to a bed or "rack" to reduce berthing (sleeping) space."
includes a mess hall as well as a small medical bay

Weapon Systems:
2 Wing Mounted Phaser Arrays
1 Belly Mounted Pulse Phaser Cannon
2 Belly Mounted Micro-torpedo Launchers
1 Rear Mounted Phaser Array

The Arrow Class Runabout answers the Starfleet Starfighter corp need for long range recognizance/ long range crew transport with quarters for five people and a small medical facility and mess hall for the officers attached to the ship.

The Arrow when not serving as a crew transport is the major work horse for Squadron operational recognizance capable of high warp travel and extended deployment time well suites the Arrow for this roll

I am trying to give some publicity to the members of the Seraphim Build Team, lol. After all, I have a Mercury class battlestar named Zaxxon. Therefore, it is perfectly okay for me to name a Seraphim class carrier after living legends. Further, since I am typing this while wearing my custom made TOS Colonial Warrior's uniform, your argument is invalid.

ok, ok I see your point. I too have the battlestar Thunderous in my mod.

Oh, and I am sitting next to my BSG patches a friend picked up at a comic-con which I will soon be adding to a pare of BDUs.(though, it isn't authentic, I get to find out who my real friends are when I am playing airsoft/paintball, if you know what i mean.;))

Allergic to gravity. I don't know about that but I do know it defiantly not your friend.

As the words painted over the bulletin board at Flight school rings true.

"All take offs are voluntary and all landings are mandatory"

But lets get back to topic Gentlemen " I use the rem loosely" and Master guns.

Well by the time the Seraphim is launched, John Majest in the RPG timeline has been dead for years. As I am no longer in the RPG.

Do you need it? I have it fully textured, but yet unreleased ;)
I'd love to have it. Thank you very much for your most generous offer. I am deeply honored. However, I think what I'd like even more is for you to release it publicly under your name here at MSFC. This allows me to point people in your direction. This is my preferred solution to this. Here is why I think so.

1) It is your work. As such you deserve all the credit and accolades which this generates. And this is how it is supposed to be done.

2) You releasing this here at MSFC will increase the amount and quality of the Downloads Section. Which is something I am always very interested in.

So send what you've done in to Terra for uploading and I can include a link to it within the ReadMe. Again, I thank you for your wonderfully generous offer, K_Merse. I am very flattered you think so highly of my work as to want to associate your own with it. Quite frankly, I think your mods are waay better than anything I've ever done. I would prefer everyone to be able to enjoy it without having to wade through my own stuff first.

The arrow has been released, Terra managed to get it up, but didn't have the time to complete it so I did it for him. A great model Kmerse, I hope to see more of your work like your Luna and such here in the future. :)

It has. She's much more effective. But then again, what GodShip is ineffective? rofl. I've got the pack done. I just need to confirm with the Seraphim Build Team it is permissible to release this here at MSFC.

Kitteh is currently unavailable due to studying the non-euclidean aspects of basic logic. ... Oh wait, that is

A1 = !q1 AND q2 OR !q2 is a tautology, prove via semantic tableaux. :yuck:

Kitteh will be available after this week's wednesday.

EDIT: Can't ... resist ... eldritch horrors ... nipz ...

teh Downloads kitteh is currently offline due to way too much cramming for an exam and a drug induced haze fogging his brain, lol.

Perhap a little Shat will bring him around.

"Must...resistoy...filledwith...catnipwhichmakesbrain...allhazy...and...such. gasp!"

I can almost hear the TOS fight music in the background, can't you?

EDIT: Doesn't the Downloads Kitteh have a sidekick?

However Majestic uploads during this nighttime, when he finds something to upload. He isn't as fast as the Kitteh, but he slowly gets the job done.

Wasn't intended in a mean spirited way. Just having some fun. Apologies if you took that way.

EDIT: Having some problems getting the Arrow to show up ingame. No joy with either Editor menus or as a build unit. No idea why either.

The second. I usually try to get ships and stations activated as map units first. So I can make sure I've not done anything which is incorrect and will cause someone's game to crash. After this is successful, I redo an ODF so the new ship ca be built at a yard or aboard a carrier. I have a set routine I follow which has never failed me until now. It is a bug hunt. It will take a bit bit but it is something I have experience with finding. I've just never had one crop up here before.
