Any chance you have any fore/aft and/or side views?

Are you looking for an A2 mesh or just any old mesh. If you don't mind a maya mesh then I might take a crack when I have time, although I can't do textures (not enough hours in a day).

Thank you

Any old mesh :) like I said it for the Midway RPG so it dose not have to be A2 playable as to other Views I can make them if need be :D

What she is something like Stargate universe's Destiny what she is foot hold ship capable of making a transgalactic crossing

Got bored today so spent a few hours roughing out the forward hull. Thanks for the additional view, getting some idea of depth makes all the difference. Fwd/aft views would still be helpful though.

Question on the underside pic, there appears to be a rectangular section that extends down from the base of the saucer that has the deflector at the front and (presumably) a hanger on the back. However the back seems far more triangular than the front. Just wondering which is correct? Or should I apply an element of artistic license? :D

thanks again :)

It starts to trapper from a trapezoid at end of the hanger bays to the more triangular end to get the hull out of the flight path

Managed to spend a bit of time on it this evening. Tweaks made to the curvature of the saucer, reformed the rollbar, and added placeholders for the nacelles. Now that there's a forward view I can see that the pylons need to shift upwards though (doh).

Hmm... I could help with textures.

If you have a copy of maya (or something compatible with it) then you are more than welcome to the mesh once it's complete (assuming Hellkite agrees).
My problem with texturing isn't (just) that I don't know photoshop that well, its also that I've never learnt UV mapping (as I didnt have a graphics package before a month ago thus it was pointless, and I'm self taught as well) and my machine just isn't beefy enough to render a desent image.

Starting to look like a ship now. Unlikely to get much done this weekend as the folks have invited themselves down.

Edit - I've had to take a few liberties as the views contradict in a few places. But I am trying to remain true to what's been posted.

Looks good. Are you gonna have matching curves on the nacelles?

The nacelles are placeholders, I'm going to do a bit more on the saucer section before moving on. I am trying to keep as close as possible to the plans.

And wow, big beastie isn't she. Sense of scale will help when I start thinking about additional detailing.

The folks disappeared early.
Base mesh currently stands at 1560 polys (I went a little heavy on the nacelles). Smoothed mesh is at 24840.

I'm quite surprised at how good the low poly mesh looks at the moment, but when it comes to the detailing you need the extra polys to make it look smoother.

I think at this rate she make a grate replacement for the mother ship on Homeworld 2 for a Federation mod

But I'm more than pleased with how she is turning out kjc733 you really are doing a grate job on her :)

I am having trouble finding a fitting saucer section, is it ok if it is not exact?

Closest ship ship I can think of to it's saucer section is the Achilles class as far as shape but you ll need to factor in the massive size difference

Achilles class Length: 612 meters
Seraphim class Length: 5245 meters

yeah, if you can find some high-res Achilles textures, I think they would fit quite nicely. maybe the one on sfm would work?

Hmmmm, more like something BASED on the Achilles textures would work. You'd need more windows and a lot of escape pods plus some more hull detailing to get a sense of scale on the carrier.

I suggest looking at Josh's work at the Perception Class. Mind If I post some links Maj?
