• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

    Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

    We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Too Knight's comment on the ship still having a bit of a SG feel to it, I personally felt it was moving more into a Babylon 5 earth feel. :p :)

Also since I didn't have time to talk about how my FTL drive worked. It basically has a super dense liquid inside the ring which is accelerates like what is done inside particle accelerator to near the speed of light. This causes the area inside the sphere to compress into a micro black hole which is then used to warp space. (like Event horizon but without going to hell.)

Honestly, I vote for RJB's ship anyways. I had to alter my original concept idea because it looked way to close.

I'll admit, I'm not as familiar with B5 as SG, although now you mention it, I can see the influences lol. Glad you explained how the FTL works for curiosities sake lol.
Like I said, its a fantastic job :thumbsup:.

ah regardless of the votes and scores by judges I had super fun and must say all the entries (others that is) rock! I so Wish I could model as well as yall. And RJB that is one hell of a ship heh. your getting my vote.

At the risk of Syf injuring me (or finding some way to torture me using yesteryears information since its suspiciously quiet on that front), i wont have time to update tonight. I swear it'll be done by tomorrow though.

Maybe im not aware of the contest challenge, but I think that textures are very important and should be worth 3 or at very least 2 points. Whereas im of the opinion that originality and especially plausabillity arent that important, so 1 point would be enough.

Post moved from Contest Judging thread as it was requested that only the designated judges (Hellkite, Knight, and Transmission) post in that thread until all Judging is complete.

:p nice to see not much has changed despite the lack of yesteryears updates. there are still teases about it whenever i bring it up lol.
