Well with the upgrade out of the way here are images of the ship I am working on, using the new album feature to host these as well. ;)

And for you Achilles:

I got my inspiration off both the new ship for Star Trek 11 as well as some WIP models from various modellers at SFM.

Improving in leaps and bounds. Great job.
For some reason, I really like the Hyperion. Not a design I've seen before, so it's nice and original for me.

Also its nice to sit and watch your progress and skills evolve. Keep the updates coming:D

Thanks Avon, it helps when you have someone like Syf to ask all those questions or to use his material as reference.

I plan on finishing this model then do a re-imagine Daedalus and then do a few re-imagine Romulan designs. I already have the designs picked out, it's my hope that down the road I will have enough re-imagine designs hosted here that someone can make a mod out of them if they wish.

I am also going to see about finishing up the Daedalus and Hyperion and get them on the site for the members here to use if they wish. They won't have lightmaps but later models will.

I have to agree that my skills are getting better from when I started to the Daedalus, that model is 1700 roughly, the Hyperion about the same, this is the second attempt at a Conny as Syf game me some good tips and I have this model still under 1200. I will have some more updates in the coming week hopefully if I can figure how to smooth the top and bottom part of the saucer.

EDIT:

It does have some features of it, but it's not intended to be the same design but rather my own attempt at a much closer (to TOS) re-imagine Enterprise that could easily be put into it's place. You'll see once she is textured. ;)

Thanks for the compliment, for a newbie to modelling like me I need all the tips and kick in the butt to motivate me as I can get.

Majestic, I must say you are doing great!

Do not worry too much about polycounts.

My first released ship, the Earthforce Nova class Dreadnought, had about 11,000

Thanks Intrepid, I am trying to keep an eye on the poly counts as I do believe a modeller that can keep a ship down in the pollies but still looking good has more talent than one who can only do high poly good looking ships.

looks good Majestic, lets get it textured an in game!

Textures, once it finished of course as for in game, hmmm.... I can understand Syf now, just wanting to move onto the next model. :lol2:

Thanks Jeddy, I do try and I am hoping I will get good enough to be more use to Syf went Red Ash gets into full production. :)

I will eventually get around to getting them hardpointed, but right now I am just focusing on my modelling skills and try and improve them and learn the tricks of the trade so to speak. :)

I can hardpoint in my sleep so no real challenge there. :lol2:

Well I decided to do some modelling this evening but didn't feel like working on the Conny so I started a new Daedalus, this one like the Conny a re-imagine one.

And a comparasion with the Conny.

The nacelles are only fill ins from the Conny, I plan to make the Daedalus' ones more like the NX-01/TOS Conny's nacelles. She stands at about 1300 pollies, and I don't expect to have her over 1500.

Don't worry Knight, I haven't given up on her. I was just pretty tired last night and didn't feel like working on her so I started her little yet older sister.

I remember that Nova. It was nice work even if it was technically too poly heavy for Armada.

Majestic your doing great, I've never mastered fed models but yours are quite good.

Thanks guys, I find modeling TOS ships quite easy but a little boring at times, hence my take on re-imagine designs. I have re-done the Daedalus nacelles and plan to get back to the Conny soon Knight.

You know, that Constitution you're modelling reminds me quite closely to one of the design options in "Starship Creator", especially the way you modelled the warp nacelles. Did you have any inspiration from that or is this just a co-incidence?

Just co-incidence Pille, my inspiration came from the Star Trek XI Enterprise (Or at least the Fan version) and several Constitution fan creations in the WIP section on SFM (Sci-Fi Meshes).

I just wanted something more exciting than TOS Conny.

TOS Daedalus is now online for download: Majestic Sci-Fi Central - Downloads

The Hyperion is sure to follow.

The Hyperion is now up in the downloads section as well.

Well getting a chance to sit down and do some work today, and simply not in the mood or frame of mind to do any php coding I decided to work on the Constitution class I have been modelling for A2.

The bridge is now complete, but I may be re-doing it for two reasons, I was hoping to get it a little lower on pollies and the look I am not too sure on. I have also added and textured the lower sensor done that is on the bottom of the saucer and it clears the path of any torpedoes when fired from the launchers and finally I have textured the nacelles and pylons although there are some additions I want to make to the nacelles before I admit they are complete.

These new models really look great, Majestic. I've been looking around for a higher-quality Daedalus model for a long, long time and this one just might be it. If anyone takes your point and lightmaps this ship, I'll be very pleased.

Looking forward to the next download!!

Great looking ships Majestic. I've always been of the school of thought that reasoned that the Daed would have been a better choice for the NX in Enterprise or maybe something similiar to your Hyperion. I was hoping to see a more TOS look to the NX Enterprise. Big let down for me on that one. We ended up with the Akira's Great Great Great Grandpa instead. :lol2:

Well I have the Constitution complete with the exception of a few saucer texturing issues which I hope to fix today. Once she is complete and the textures revamped a little I plan on completeing the Daedalus (v2) and then start on another design, what yet I am simply not sure of but I am thinking of first a TOS revamp Surya and then a Miranda.

May I humbly suggest the Siegfried class? There's a request thread open over at A2Files and it's not a bad looking ship-- the original Federation dreadnought, straight from the Starfleet Museum site. And textures like these would look equally nice on such a butt-ugly ship ;)

If I do decide to do a Springfield I would be adding my own personal touch and re-design to it to match the Conny and new Daedalus. It that doesn't bother you then I may take this request up.

Well I thought this was worthy enough of a new post rather than a simple edit.

Here is the Constitution, Majestic style and her variants.

Yes that is right, from now on all TOS models made by me will have three versions. I still need to finish up texture work on the Terran version and the hull extentions on the GOrder version but all in all they are pretty much complete.
