• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

@Hellkite is gonna hate me for this but, it reminds me of the Risian Corvette from STO.

Only better.

No hate here

Lyran's ship and starbase

More like the Risian Corvette took after the Lyran navy (Star Fleet Battles - 1980)

Hullo there. I was introduced to your work over at DA by kjc, and I have to say you have an impressive portfolio of ideas! One of my faves is the Seeker-class, which -- if you don't mind -- I intend to use in an upcoming fan fiction project.

I really like the look of it. It definitely has a "Vesta's kid sister" vibe with the textures and paint job, but I can see the influence of the Dauntless and Intrepid as well. It's a unique design and none of my fellow fanfic authors will be using a ship like it, which I love!

I'm fond of the Vesta marking as well on her "just sets her off" But we do have a none marked version as seen in the pic

Oh, I love that picture by Jetfreak! KJC has suggested I contact him about maybe getting some pretty pictures done, which I am very likely to do once I am ready to get started on the stories. I want to get some other storylines wrapped up before beginning this project.

Only other thing I would want to see for this awesome ship is an MSD! Man, I wish i had the talent to do graphics and 3D art.

Hello:
A successor for the cool Nova class? You sure aim high, but unlike the official new Starfleet ships, you sure know how to make a ship memorable :)

Hello:
I love how you truly made it look part of the TLE era, as in between TMP and TNG because it looks very modern human-like and also very much like future designs like the Valkyrie class (ST: Invasion) .

The floating nacelles seems to be the new gimmick for these future ships.

But that is what they went with so to set it in their world design language I had to go with it.

I like it because it's different and futuristic.

My reasoning into it in two parts

One it is not a good Ideal on a to have overly complex drive systems

Quote

" The more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain." ~ Montgomery Scott after sabotaging Excelsior Star Trek III: The Search for Spock

Two tactically it's not sound

Over forces compaction automation that can fail in combat and spreads out the shield wreaking them.

Holey ship Hellkite.
Not seen the new Discovery past s1, but separated nacelles sound even dafter than folding nacelles. The nacelles are just the "wheels", the warp core is the "engine" - unless Discovery now has independent warp cores for the nacelles. I know I know, 30-something century space magic. But Trek has always been a little different to other scifi in that it tries to explain its space magic, so its annoying when the writers forget how they claim it works. The likes of B5 and Firefly don't bother, and therefore aren't really constrained by it.
Anyway, nice work as always Hellkite. I just can't stand hole in ships.
