Hello:
Well, those moons seems to have more universal names as they might be used for custom universes as well. Don't you mind if I send some Eagles to explore? ;).

But what really caught my attention is the Arboreal moon, that one has an amazing concept, specially since it would be amazing to see it in reality as it would be kinda small to sustain an atmosphere... maybe unless if positioned in the right spot in it's solar system. I would still love to have some for maps and to explore them. But they might have only very few resources, just to have more variety in your moons.

That's excellent job!

Thanks man. Yeah in Firefly there seemed to be quite a few moons with colonies on. I have them set up with only a small amount of metal, and can only support a light population, compaired to a full size planet.
I do have another colonisable model with a different texture to represent Whitefall (which was a specific moon from the show run by a ruthless woman called Patience)

And yay for Eagles!!

Hello:
Lol, that was a random Eagle video, but a funny one . I should try to make my 1999 fleet ingame, I just need to make my version with transparent textures so there are some with fewer polies (instead of fully modelled ribs).

But back on topic, will you release your packs of planets and moons? they would make for very interesting maps and situations .... did I say that I like your Arboreal moon?

A fine addition man. Considering its your first foray into space bodies, you've passed with flying colors.

Well done Avon, those backgrounds especially. Quality stuff all around and what better way to complement them with such fine models. :)

What they all said.

Hello:
I find those concepts very interesting, particularly the cities, they kinda remind me of Atlantis... but I guess they are not related :D. But really, the concept is very interesting, imagine flying your ship and pass near those colossal buildings, that can be breathtaking.

Keep it up!

Not sure if you already considered this, Avon, but I would love to see you use Borg textures to render these ships as they'd look if taken over by the Reavers. Other than that, what everyone else said, with an additional WOW for good measure.

Thanks guys. My backgrounds are still in progress and I'm still experimenting for now

Well, I don't want to give too much away, but that's exactlt what I'm doing. Reavers don't have their own tech so they will play as the borg. Every ship will have a reaver texture;)

That sounds awesome Avon, I look forward to seeing that. If you want to go one step further you could even add mesh parts, for when the ship is taken over by Reavers, like how Fahres models add Borg mesh parts when they are assimilated.

Well, it's been a long time since I posted in here. To cut a long story short, my laptop died. I just managed to save all my stuff to disc in time before she finally gave up. My Firefly stuff is still safely tucked away for now.

Have had a terrible job getting the game to work on my new machine. Have just finally managed to get it working in one of the compatability modes. The Gui is a bit screwy, but it finally works.

So I've recenty been getting into the Clone Wars animated series. I was a little scepticle at first, as it's aimed more for kids. But I finally gave in to it, and cant get enough of it now.
So I thought I'd have a play with some of the old Clone Wars ships that are around the community. I've started making some model and texture tweaks, and have kit-bashed and made one or two new ships, like my new Malevolence.
I dont think there will be anything released from this, it's just me having some fun and thought I'd share some pictures.

Awesome work man, I've also been getting more and more interested in the Clone Wars series. They've really improved in most recent season. They main cast also had some costume changes and the Phase II troopers are starting to make appearances.

I'm watching season 2 atm on TV. I watch it with my kids and I think I enjoy it more than them.

I have considered after the BSG mod is complete to do something with the Clone Wars in the form of a small mod, much like the BSG mod is.

Great to see you're playing around with this Avon, Loving what I am seeing, have you thought of FO's as it's been updated a lot to be able to run a lot easier on modern systems and operating systems. Either way I would love to see you continue with these models. :)

I was thinking about your Firefly project just yesterday Avon, wondering where'd you'd gone lol. Glad to hear you saved everything, sorry about the loss of your computer though.

The Clone Wars stuff looks awesome! Shame about the no release, I've been looking for a Trade Federation Landing Craft model that's low poly enough for A2 for ages now lol. Ah well nice to see you back modding again anyway

And it's nice to know I'm not the only 'grown-up' who enjoys the Clone Wars series

Looks awesome! Y u no release? Seems like a lot of work to have sitting unreleased on one's HDD. I'm sure there are a few people 'round here who'd appreciate these a lot. On the other side, it's your work. I won't tell you what to do.

Thanks mate. Series 3 was really good wasn't it. Had some awesome episodes. Am really looking forward to series 4 later this year.

Thanks dude.
Well, I have 2 full working sides all set up (just cobbled together from all the stuff released previously). I was just using the patch project for now. However, I have just re-installed FleetOps again, and it runs pretty good on my new system. Hmmmm.....

Cheers Dano!. Well my landing craft (which you can just about see in one of the pics), is nothing special. Just something I chucked together in about 5 minutes that uses an old modified stock texture. Not entirely acurate, and not all that pretty, to be honest, lol. If its any good to you, however, you are welcome to it.

Thanks guys, glad you like it. No release really because these (mostly) are not my models or textures. Just stuff I'm tweaking a bit. Also for the ones I have kitbashed and re-used textures, I dont have permission for releases (at the moment)

Yeah the permissions thing is understandable, one of the downsides of kitbashing rather than modelling from scratch lol (though you're fortunate in your ability to do both very well).

I hope there'll be some sort of release for your SW stuff in the future should you decide to try and secure the permissions, but if you'd be willing to send me that landing craft that'd be awesome (assuming there are no permission issues there), it's one of the few TF ships I havn't been able to get for A2 :)

Looking forward to seeing more from you mate

Well mine's 282 polies, it was a really lazy and quick model from me
Anyway, I've e-mailed it to you.
