YY Favourite Ships

Assault Cruiser? Is that a transporter attack vessel?

I see that you have Dreadnaught (Spelling? Firefox doesn't like this) listed earlier in the list than Battleship. Any reason in particular, or is the Dreadnaught actually less powerful, weapons-wise?

Well I have seen several ship list from various shows and resources, some say the Dreadnaught is more powerful than a Battleship and others say it ain't.

I choose the latter, and in YY the Dreadnaught while having more raw firepower than the Battleship has much weaker defences, sensors and engines usually due to being an older design. So especially useful if you want to do a lot of damage quickly rather than wanting a prolong engagement, for that I recommend Battleships and Heavy Cruisers as they are both well rounded.

The Assault Cruiser is a cross between an artillery cruiser (It's a special weapon) and the troop transport, gives the vessel an additional usage that can't be replaced by any other vessel, so players will find them handy even if they don't like using the attack feature to board enemy units.

Favorite ship...

I saw someone mention Constellation class (Picard's Stargazer) in one of the Yesteryears Update thread replies. If this ship is in one of the races, then by all means, the Constellation. If not, I like the Akula class. I like ships that our different but look canon.

Constellation class is in as a map unit available in the campaign if I ever get around to making it.

Please make it in the campaign, or at least the Multi-player. You could make it as a science vessel, like the nebula in the stock version, unless you already have the Oberth class fullfilling that role.

The Constellation is built and ingame, its designed for the campaign, and thats what I meant by if I ever make it, I was refering to the campaign.

Right now, we are focusing on completing the models and getting them into the game, then the rest of the coding will be finished up.

Thanks... the federation nacelles actually took quite an amount of time to make look right and keep low poly.
