Yes well in Sin's scouts can also be weak combat ships at least in some mods. So the Okinawa works, so does the Oberth.

So maybe each class could have an ability so players can choose? or to have to build of both?

It's a possibility. Depending on the modder.

Yes, one was like a combat scout. Designed to hold up better against enemy fire.

Finishing up one of the last Federation ships that I haven't updated, I think it might be the last one that I had textured. Still a few more designs to go that need texturing.

This one ended up being basically a brand new model and texture UV.

My last commission with @Admiral*Alex he wanted a TMP Ares class. Was a little tricky with the fore torpedo launchers going the square TMP style but we got there in the end. A full 2K texture this one has. Came in around the same as the Constitution in poly count as well.

Great work on this one Maj!
I really like the Ares configuration, and it looks great in a TMP style as well.

Thanks I have a Discovery ship to bring into the TMP era in the next couple of weeks too. Keep an eye out for that one.

Hello:

Heresy! :lol2:
It's a commission hahaha.
That said I always wanted to bring the Europa to TMP as a hero ship for Chekov but never got around to it and probably never will lol.

At least we'll get paid for it :yum:

Oh right! Checkov does have command training. I still I would say give it a go, unless you find another design elsewhere.

Hahaha. Well Alex told me to take my time and not rush and burn myself out. I plan to start on his first model next week. Already figured out how I am going to build it and such. Should be a decent TMP cruiser even if it is a adapted STD design haha.

I'm back....
While I like my headcanon that the Nimitz Class later became the basis for Miranda following the Four Years War - I do like Venom Geek Media's remastered version. It's a Phase II Version, not just a TOS or TMP refit.

If you wanted to get those creative ideas flowing for your own, check it out.

That's because I tried many moon ago for another video game (Command and Conquer Generals). Lets just say that between that failure and not being able to draw the Vesta Class on literal paper, I lost my creative talents. But because of that, know that art takes time, and Majestic's art is well worth the wait (and money). Nowadays, I tend to more code work.

That sure stinks! But while I know you have your own talents, maybe you can give art another chance one day, even if just for random fun.

Well, I am sure Majestic and everybody would agree that we wish everybody would understand what you have, but I am glad you found in Majes tic the help you needed!

Certainly an interesting take. I always saw it as a TMP command ship like an upscaled Miranda/Conny with command and control features where you didn't want to commit a full dreadnaught or battleship to. In my Yesteryears head canon she is equivalent to the Excalibur in purpose but is using more dated (conny era) technology.

Thank you, I always put passion into each model I made as I always try to make the best I can at the lowest poly count without sacrificing quality. Not always easy.

It does take time but usually it's worth the wait. Even my own models I remember the Artemis for BSG took like a week of 5-6 hours a day to finish that was a huge undertaking. Thankfully not all are that involved.

Modelling is certainly an artform and sometimes if just doesn't come to you no matter how hard you push. Sometimes stepping back and taking a break is needed.

That's where refitted 23rd Century ships come in! Been trying to add Phaser Strips to the Ulysses, but it hasn't turn out well enough that I feel it's good enough. Been a slow process as felt burned out after hardpointing all those Klingon ships awhile ago.

I actually know how you feel, saucer textures are difficult, that is why I have not made much Trek stuff.

Well, at least you didn't have to hardpoint the Galactica! :help:
