I should have known to leave well enough alone, but I Googled Jetnova16 anyways. I am amazed at what a persistent pest this person is. I followed one of the hits to a thread on AFC and found a link to a MegaUpload mod purporting to be a Terran Empire and Alliance Mod by him. So I D/L'd it. There are no credits listed anywhere. Nor does he say yes or no on whether he made everything in it. But the way it is presented certainly would lead one to think he had done everything. There are meshes and textures from everyone who is anyone within the A2 Community. Especially MAP, Dan1025, Aad, and Jetfreak, whom he refers to in another post as 'jetfreka'. If MAP is still a moderator over on AFC, I really think someone over here should politely ask him to remove the posts and links in question. They are as blatant a case of mod theft as I've ever seen anywhere. Far worse than anything SquireJames ever did.
I have confirmed Jetnova16 is in fact within the Greater NYC area, he is a twenty three year old white single male with no current girlfriend who lives with his parents, and he has a page or is registered on every single social interaction site available which is even remotely connected to Star Trek. He lists himself as a student but then speaks about someone at work. I cannot reconcile the ISP listings he uses regularly yet. Some show him where you'd expect but then others are well away from the rest. He does have a World of Warcraft account and a ModDB account but neither of these have shown any activity in the past six months. There are two MySpace accounts. One is apparently used as a SPAM catcher and the other he visits infrequently. He has also annoyed the heck out of the publishing houses which produce Star Trek hardcover and paperback books.
Because he is careless about whom he interacts with and what he tells them, due to him thinking he is very much more intelligent than the rest of us, I can probably track him right back to the specific WiFi modem he uses in the particular Starbucks he haunts. I already have credit card numbers(both maxed out, lol) because he very foolishly sent them via email to someone. As was the case with SquireJames, he is leaving a trail through cyberspace half a mile wide which even a blind man can follow. I don't mention my abilities very often, but people, please be a little more circumspect and discreet about what you share with whom. Some of the Cyber Ninjas are really very very bad guys who will hurt you permanently without a second's hesitation.
And let what I've discovered about Jetnova16, aka JetNova, aka James Terranova, be a warning and a reminder to all of us. Cyberspace isn't nearly as anonymous as we all fondly fantasize it is. The very second you hit the 'Submit' button, you are announcing loudly to the world exactly where you are. The more times you do it, the more precisely some of the not so nice InterWebs denizens can zero in on your location. Takes about thirty minutes to make up a new person with my address, your bank account number and someone else's driver's license number. And then, the phone calls from the collections agencies start. Last time, took me about US $1,500.00 and a week's vacation to clear up.
Note to Site Managers and Maj: None of the information listed above was acquired by illegal means. This means I did not hack into anyone's site or do anything morally questionable. Believe it or not, there's rules to this sort of thing.
