• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Normally one needs to authorise a link via a Admin, before they can post it, unless of course it's an affiliate, a wiki, an official site or youtube etc.

However I find that link very helpful thanks TUN, Jet is PMing me on FO stating he never said anything bad about me and that link just proved my point. He wants to be unbanned here and I told him the community has made the decision and he has to live with the consequences of his actions.

So you get my two  for that link.

@Majestic
Forgive me for not waiting for admin approval, I know how important filtering of websites is here on MSFC, perhaps I just got too excited to share the humor.

I'm glad the result was a positive one though. There's similar jetnova events on plenty of other modding website like this one, but I don't think I'll need to link to any of them. A simple google search for "jetnova" will provide a novel's worth of them.

It's all good TUN. I did a google search and you're right, there is a lot of stuff about him. We'd be so lucky to have someone so famous wanting to be a member of MSFC.

Yeah I've seen his posts in your ENT mod thread on FO Majestic, took a lot of self-control not to respond to him myself lol. As for the thread TUN linked to...dear god that guy needs serious help. How did he get unbanned from the FO boards anyway?

Honestly I'm more disturbed by the idea that he thinks he's "speaking for the Armada II community" than I am by whatever crazy rubbish he's spewing on his own behalf. I'm tempted to comment on that Gateworld thread with a disclaimer about us not endorsing/supporting his opinions lol.

The fact that he thinks he can still get unbanned at this point simply baffles me, does he think we all have amnesia or something? He's honestly one of the most disturbed people I've encountered on the internet, I've had to physically walk away from my laptop more than once to stop myself starting a flame war with him.

@Dan: He wasn't unbanned. The 'standard' FO ban is only for a year, whereas FF bans are for 30 years, and MSFC bans... well... :)

Why is anyone still noticing this worthless excuse for a human being who so obviously needs some sort of professional help?

I can say with reasonable certainty that he is an idiot of the finest natural quality. Reading his posts that TUN linked reflects badly on all of us - he's going off ranting about the Armada community, and whilst MSFC has grown most of us have our origins there. The C&C guys probably think we're a small group of arrogant, pushy bigots if he's anything to go by.

Indeed it's disturbing that he claims to speak for the A2 Community. Unfortunately we can't really stop him, it's not like we can take the net away from him. Best to do damage control.

Yeah we ban permanently with few fortunate enough to get that lifted, in fact I think only one member ever got their's lifted.

As far as Jetnova's ban is concerned, it's the MSFC Community choice, I think it effects the community the most and with the type he is I wouldn't presume to speak for the community. So as long as 90% of the community says no, that's the go. I have told him that, but really I feel like I am speaking to my lounge room wall.

I just posted in that thread explaining Jetnova's position in the A2 community and expressing our disappointment that he was their first impression of us. It's my first post on that site so a moderator needs to approve it first, but I really hope they do and that it clears everything up.

Hello:
It is kinda sad that there are people like him that seems to enjoy to cause problems to others, maybe he enjoys that, making him something worse than a troll. Or maybe he just need some medical help as he might have some mental issues, because I have seen in many places how those can be very common, in fact, MSFC could be one of the sanest webpages I have seen, because there are only good people in here and bad weeds are taken out before they have a chance to grow up and ruin things for the rest.

Keep up the good jobs Admins!.

Well, anyways, I took my time to edit this pic, I hope you'll all like it :D.

I can't see that thread... just a couple of posts by the mod's lead modder. Unfortunate; I was looking forward to reading that.

OK, since your first few posts on that site have to be approved by an admin, and that was my first post, it would appear that said admin checked out the thread and deleted all of jetnova's posts and everything related to them and didn't put mine up. I really wish that at least some of my post was put up because I included an apology from the A2 community.

A small gift for those who did not get to see the posts before they were removed...

I had the page still open so I saved the page before refreshing it ;)

I have grown very tired of this guy. We all know he is a complete (- language deleted due to this being a family website -) and I really really really wish we'd stop discussing the little (- language deleted due to this being a family website -). I have had quite enough of anyone giving him any sort of attention at all, He thrives on this and if we keep mentioning his name, he will show up. I feel all dirty and slimy whenever he is mentioned and I have this overpowering urge to go wash and then disinfect my 'puter by placing it in the path of an oncoming 18 wheeler. Really, please stop. This worthless piece of sh**** thoroughly and completely tweaks my last good nerve and I strongly suspect I am not the only one affected this way.

To recap, for those of you who missed it.

Jetnova is up to his usual bad behavior on some other website.
As a matter of fact, no, he has not changed one iota.
He is just as irritating as he was the last time anyone mentioned him.
People spend a little too much time being fascinated with this guy. Which rewards him with the attention he so desperately craves for reasons I am too frightened to guess at.

Not trying to back seat moderate here, truly. But I'd much prefer it if we all become interested in something positive, please.

TF, I understand your stance on this matter, Majestic feels the same way.

However, sometimes people need an outlet and the best place to do it with with those of like mind it on this situation & saves them going out and doing something they will regret, Living with someone who has severe depression, I know this object lesson all too well and find that it can benefit in many ways which is why I have not closed this thread or suggested people stop talking about it.

Those who do not like the discussion do not have to read or participate in it at all, it is merely a vent thread to help erradicate those harmful thoughts that annoy people so vent away my friends..

Kat, I understand fully about venting. One of my very favorite pastimes. However, my way of dealing with something or someone like Jetnova or their actions is to go and do something positive to balance out the negative energy. Light and dark must exist in balance and harmony, else one becomes too powerful and all is lost. In this case, I am pulling an all nighter to get some more Terran Empire ships ready for release. To release brand new, never before seen ships and materials is a positive action and beneficial to harmony. Especially mine. Been a rough month at work and shows no signs of getting better anytime soon.

Good that you have a way of venting yours, Maj does the same thing, it seems everyone has their own way whether something constructive or verbally venting online to help relieve tensions. I really hope things look up for you soon, I understand about having a bad day, week or month, having been having alot of that myself which is why I am about to go and have a game of World of Warcraft and release my own frustrations on nasty monsters who deserve my venting :p

Those posts make me wish I could take back all the help I have given him. I am glad you posted those kat, as I wouldn't have known that he has not changed at all. The two faced doubletalking...... :x You will never see me use strong language, but he tempts me some times.... I can't believe how easily he can take advantage of our kindness. I will definitely think twice about helping him next time.

One good thing that came out of all of that: now we have his facebook account.:lol2::naughty:

Reading the stuff Katala posted made me re-realize what I knew from earlier: In general, Star Trek Armada II is rather a mediocre game, but the modding community made it great. Without the moders this game wouldn't have become a legend but would have been forgotten within two years after it was released.

Indeed, the vast majority of the A2 modding community is made of wonderful, kind and talented people. Makes the rare bad apples like Jetnova seem insignificant. I've always been glad to be a part of this community, and to call a great many of you my friends

I think we do rather well, in the history of the A2 Community we've had what, under a dozen bad members, about 3-4 really bad ones and the other several hundred are great people. I think when you look at the numbers it could've been a lot worse, especially when you look at some of the other online communities.

Katala and I have already decided that if we came into a lot of money we would pay for a lot of you to come over (or in the case of people like Rawks and Darklight, come up/down) to us for a massive MSFC Member get together. Now time to get the money somehow.
