I just thought I'd point out that the New, CGI Transformers movie is slated to be in the theaters July 4th, 2007. That's only another 362 days away.
http://www.transformersthemovie.com

I myself have always been a big fan of Transformers. I'm an original G1 fan. So, if any of you out there like the Transformers, then you'll love the movie their making right now. It's going to be like a "Live Action" movie, with CGI so good, It'll look like every day life. The Cars will look like real cars and such. My current Avatar is a screen capture from the CGI demo reel that's available on the site.

You can view the first trailer on the site, as well as keep in tune with any news about the movie too.

Also, on another note, In November 2006, the original Transformers: The movie, will be re released as a 20th Anniversary DVD. News abotut that is also available on a link at the movie's site.

Other links:
http://www.transformers.com (for all things Transformers)

And don't anyone ever question if I'm too old for Transformers, as I have kids of my own that are nuts over them, just as I was when I was their (and your) age.

When I get back to work, the first think I'll make a note to the boss is, I can not work that day... No way. I already have plans, and it's not got anything to do with popping firecrackers (but fireworks are an added bonus).

I can't hardly wait for this movie. If a Star Trek movie was released tha same day, my wife wouldn't see me that day because I would be in heaven!;)

Yes, the blue one was called Soundwave, and the red one was called Blaster.

For those that are fans of the Transformers, there is also a great site called Seibertron. That is where I first learned that they were planning a new movie. They have a huge database of all the different type of transformers, all generations. The site also serves as the "watchdog" of all things related to Transformers.

However, I will not post a link because they host fan forums there as well.

I agree with you Syf. But don't you remember, the main character in click had to learn its not just the events you want in your life. It is having to wait for them that makes them so wonderful.LOL But I can not wait for this movie to come out either.

As TFTM-2007 gets closer to being released, I think a lot of old TF fans will be coming out of the shadows.

I do want to see this one but I'm worried that it won't be want I would like it to be. To me the generation 1 Transformers are THE Transformers, I don't like what I've seen in terms of vehicles and premise.

Transformers was more then a bunch of robots kicking each others collective asses but that is not what I've seen in the trailer or any other sourse.

In fact the only redeeming quility for me so far is that I've heard that they have to original voice of Optimus Prime.

A reminder here:

TF will be out on July 4th of this year (2007). That's 3 1/2 months away.:excited:

Rod, I here you. The thing about this TF movie is it is made by people like us, that grew up with TF G1. Even though the characters are modified, it will prove to be a interesting watch. This time, it's "Live Action", making them look like they really could real. I am most looking forward to 7-4-7!:excited:

I've seen the trailers for this new film of theirs, and it looks quite good, though I can't quite get my head around what they are doing starting off on Mars...

Transform and roll out!
Its gonna be great. they have the original Prime back in Peter Cullen which can only be a good thing. although I still wish they'd done Prime in a way similar to your avatar Syf, more reminiscent of the original G1 Prime, although I can understand the logic behind the change.
Besides, its better camoflage. who'd expect a pimped out truck cab like his new form to be one of the autobots...
