The scale of the large ships in Future Wars would be great for this. The Seraphim (hosted in the Resources section here) would also be great.

There's a large compilation mod somewhere that includes some pretty big dreadnoughts (one is a one saucer-two stardrive Solidarity class)

I can't quite download from here yet... but will definitely check out The Seraphim. I did try to play with future wars... The large ships seem too futuristic for the Nemesis years.

Thank you for much for your recommendations

FleetOps has the Descent, and while it's not as large as the Excalibur, it is bigger than the Sovvie

Any of the awesome admins here willing to let me download the Seraphim? I will be forever in your debt :) <-- I hope this is an appropriate ask

Take a look in the site's rules. You have to post a certain number of posts first, and they have to be reasonably meaningful (you can't just spam the same thread with one-word posts to reach that number, for example)

Have you looked at the USS Valkyrie, also known as the Typhon class?
It's the USS Typhon, not the USS Valkyrie, and the model, according to the cut scenes for Star Trek: Invasion (the game where this design first showed up), the Typhon is smaller than the Sovereign.

There's a mod called the Starbase 34 Compilation Mod that includes the Solidarity class I mentioned earlier as well as a Catherine class ship, both designed to be quite large. I'm not a huge fan of the Catherine myself but you might wanna check them out. It also has a Brittain class carrier that's heavily based on the Akira but is supposed to be much larger

I wish you luck getting there

but note

To be eligible to download files, the user must be a participating member of the community and is required to post an introduction thread in the introduction section of the forums and post at least 30 posts of decent size (mass amounts of single or 3 worded posts within a very small time frame will be deleted as this is noted to rapidly increase your post count just to gain access to downloads and is also considered to be spam), be active for 7 days and have made some contribution (ie, participate in discussion on the forums) to the MSFC community and have a like count of at least 3 which can only be gained by other members liking your posts,

Understood Hellkite I will not spam post :)

For the 'huge' ship discussion. I have the Typhon (the 4 nacelle version) and did scaleSOD to 'mock' the Valkyrie .

Basically my MOD has three 'super ships' warp-in, a Carrier, a dreadnought, and a Flagship Class. I use the Typhon/Valkyrie as carrier, Aad's Dreadnought v1.0 as..well.. Dreadnought. Right now I have scaleSOD the K_merse's Century Class as large Flagship but I would like to get something more to scale and move the Century as a Soverign replacement.

I forgot that my Kitbash Mod has the Jupiter class and the Pathfinder class available, which are both kitbashes of the Excalibur designed by the USS Miranda sim when it was still running. Both are scaled to the Excalibur's size if I remember correctly.

EDIT: Added screenshots

Jupiter looks really nice. I don’t recall seeing this class in resource though. Your own personal kitbash?

As I said, it's part of the kitbash mod I have in the resources section (it's in two parts and the first uploads I have on this site)

Aha, every time someone performs necromancy on a ship request thread of any type I have to pop up for the obligatory request for an A2 models of the USS Franklin from Star Trek Beyond.

None around to be found? Ok, going back to my corner. :p

The Dreadnought 2 is an extremely well put together super ship, although it doesn't seem nearly as big as the Seraphim. That is just planet-killer huge. Lol

I am starting to think the Seraphim maybe TOO big, but I can always scale it down. I love the Century Class, but scaling it up to the same size as the Excalibur is just odd... if I zoom in, the Century Class windows is 3 to 5 decks long... ha ha

Nobody say, that a Window is 1m x 1m meter.
I don't know which people claim that every ship has the same window size.
Look here as a example

Ok, this are buildings, but why should this impossible on spaceships.

I never thought about it that way. I’ll post a picture comparing the century with the dreadnought 1.0 later tonight :)

The Seraphim could serve as a huge ship. Plus it can be a carrier with several squadrons to launch ;)
By the way I always felt weird about the bigger windows of the Century. They are indeed seem too big for a ship that's supposed to be bigger than the Sovvy. That's why I originally considered it as a smaller counterpart.

I've always loved the Century myself but I always imagined it like a small counterpart to the Sovereign, as K_merse said. Actually, when I look at the Century it looks like, well you remember that one episode from TOS where a giant hand grabbed the Enterprise? Well the Century looks like whatever has that giant hand, its foot just stomped onto a Sovereign and the Century is what is left after that. Lol.

I'm going to jump on this bandwagon and agree. It was the deflector that did it for me, the first time I saw the Century I though "Yay, finally someone has realised it doesn't *have* to get bigger each time." To me it felt more like an Intrepid-Sovereign cross than something even bigger.

K_merse!!!!! hey.... LOVE your ports of all the ships from BC to Armada man.. Thanks! In fact I was playing with the Century Class in A2 and realized the original Century SOD is somewhat deformed (at least when opened via the SOD viewer), but your 2.0 version fixed that and the texture map looks a lot better. I just wish that ship can be bigger, bigger than the Sovie but smaller than the Excalibur would be perfect for me :)

I will probably tune down the size back to around sovie while looking for a 'large' captial ship :)

Century and Dreadnought for size comparison. Both are warp-in only for fleetops, which the Century being slightly more powerful than the Dreadnought armed with 'Quantum Phaser'

I've stated to mod some new ships into FO and was hoping to get a little help creating the need
"System Background" images for them. I tried making me own but I haven't had a lot of success. I'm hoping to add the following classes:

1. Dawnstar Class
2. Prometheus Class
3. Achilles Class
4. Proteus Class
5. Century Class (jchung do you have a system background image in your game? and can I get a copy?)
6. New Orleans Class

Thanks for your time and any help.

@Hath,

I have New Orleans, Dawnstar, prometheus, Achilles, and Century. The only one I don't have is Proteus.

Its actually pretty easy to do if you have Photoshop and print-screen :D

----------------------

Not sure if it is appropriate to send email info here. but find a way to send me your contact info and I can email them over, I did a messy way and did ONE TGA per ship, but you can combine them yourself :D

@Hath and @jchung you two can send private messages to each other so that yall can discuss what you need without publicly giving any info. Only one will need to start the private message. Click on the user name and a small info window will open. You will then see the option to "start a conversation."

I know Majestic. I downloaded the dawnstar the first day that I could:) Its my favorite ship class. Love that fact you added multiple unique registries. I have several in my A2 mod:D Thankyou and Jetfreak for all of your great work!!! I also just got it modding into my FO but I don't have a "System Background" image for it or the others. That's the tga images I'm looking for.

You can take an image in game of it from the top, remove the background in photoshop or GIMP, and make one in the said programs.
