I have no particular need or use for it, but the Koernerprise is so pretty that I'd love for someone to make it.

Yeah, fairly sure there was an A2 version, I think Thunderfoot even did some customised textures for them.

It was fairly high-poly, if I remember correctly, something to watch for

Hmm, found one by someone going by grodie. There aren't actual textures included, just screenshots of Koerner's original model, and it's somewhat low poly by today's standards, at 943 triangles. It also has a ton of groups, so it could use some refinement. That's all I've got, though.

Yeah, Wiley made on for Bridge Commander, and good ol' uncle Thunder ported her to A2 way back.

https://www.nexusmods.com/startrekbridgecommmander/mods/3141/?

I always thought the Koernerprise would be perfect for a gritty and dark series of Trek movies, ala DCEU. Brooding, glum, humorless, intellectual bangingyourheadagainstthewall, all that stuff... Its not a particularly clean and elegant ship, with a busy industrial heavy-machinery gothic thing going on. I think its a tougher masculine looking vessel compared to the curvy slender JJprise.

Not necessarily, at least compared to some STO ships I've seen. There are a few elements that are a little more detailed, but it seems to be more in-line with the original shape and feel of the 1701 than the JJ is.

Thanks! Can't seem to find Thunderfoot's port, but I might be able to convert Wiley's version myself.

It definitely has the proportions more correct. The JJ-prise has the nacelles too close together, for instance, though it looks like that was corrected for the JJ-A. It also has the red bussards. The blue ones on the JJ-prise never looked right to me.

Personally, I think if the Connie ever shows up in DSC the Koernerprise design would work well. It also could have fit well as a re-imagined Connie in ENT when they did that Mirror Universe thing and the TOS Defiant showed up. Probably drop the glowing blue bits on the nacelles in both cases, though, to be more like the original.

Does anyone have a model of the Missouri Class from KA that actually looks like the model from KA? The model in the KA2 mod for A2 is not correct, and I'm trying to find one more in-line with the KA model.

EDIT: Didn't realize there's no such thing as Klingon Academy 2, corrected the stuff

So there's a reasonably accurate, and (probably low-poly) Disco model in Star Trek Timelines.

I wonder if there's any way we could rip models from phone stuff, hmmm...

Ugh, I would rather see the JJ-Prise A from Beyond than this ship. Even the Shenzhou would fit better with any fleet, the Discovery sticks out like a sore thumb when trying to fit it in a TOS group.

Just think about how satisfying it would be to blow it to pieces

But, but, but... spiny things :lol2:
You know, they said the segmented saucer would make sense, then they showed the spinning bits and the segmented saucer still seems unnecessary.

To be fair, the spinning saucer and the star destroyer stardrive are unnecessary. Also, the spinning parts of the saucer suggest the Crossfield class may have been designed with the dash drive in mind, that this class may be specific for that project, which explains (and hopefully isolates) its unusual design.

On the other hand, the Glenn and the Discovery are specifically stated to be the only two ships with the drive, which means the USS Crossfield doesn't have the drive. Though it's possible the writers are as ignorant of naming conventions as everything else, I suppose.

It's also possible the Crossfield was designed to test all the other systems on the ship before a dash drive would be added, therefore reducing the risk of a design flaw messing up the experiment

Well Chris Khun did both the Crossfield and Walker Class, but that's only good for 3d renders haha.

Alternatively, there's also the possibility of ripping the models from STO. But that's a long shot atm.

Hiya Stephen. On the Discovery ships, I have not seen any being done for A2. I think it's pretty clear that save for very special occasions, there won't be many more models coming in for A2. I think the most recent you can find are some ships inspired by the 09 film. But I'm right there with you, I'd love to see the Shenzhou myself, alongside the Enterprise A and Franklin from Beyond. Never say never, but it's difficult to find any new models much anymore.

As to the Terran Empire, there are a few available, but it is very limited. You can check nexusmods for some packs, most of what I have seen is non-canon. You can find some ships that replace original models with the new Terran Empire textures, unfortunately. These include the Nx-01 and several variants of the Nebula Class.

There are very few from TOS, there's R5D5's 3 ship pack of semi-original designs, there is a not very detailed Terran Connie without registries in an adversary pack, a cartoony Federation class and there is a Paris Class. For TMP you will find a nice selection of 6 ships in the Klingon Academy 2 Total Conversion which include staple designs such as Connie Refit, Excelsior and Miranda. On the TNG side there is an ISS Enterprise E, there is a Phalanx Class, an Achilles Class, a 4 nacelled Akira class, and two Galaxy classes.

That is about as much as I have found for the Terran Empire scouring the internet. Most can be found in nexusmods or armadafiles. You may need to Google them a little. There really aren't many to find. Hope this helps a bit.
