Great image, well done!
Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.
Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.
We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.
Got to love science fiction. If it has big honking space guns, even a brick can fly. It's a very nice composition, and it's great model work. But the aero engineer dies a little every time I see a Stargate fighter in atmosphere.
Thank you. I wish I had time to do my own animations.I would love to see that, jeez.
Heck, I wish you could use your models like this old school website I would visit in the early 00s called "Spacebattles" or something like that where they would render huge battles with high resolution models from all kinds of sci-fi properties. That way we could see your models in action.
Love your B5 and Stargate stuff, you have a great eye for cinematic and artistic visuals.
I always hope for more also. The guy that did Death of Angel's with the shadow enhanced defiant pop up once in awhile with a work in progress of a new video. Lasts about a month then he goes back into hibernation for another year or two. LolTheir battle scenes were fantastic! Those guys really went all out with their movies, many of which were Star Trek vs Star Wars or B5. I wish they would resurrect it, I miss seeing those videos.
But on subject, I really love your scenes. Have you done battle sequences? My brain is a little fried right now but all I seem to recall are beauty shots or pursuits. I can imagine that rendering weapons and damage must be much more complicated and perhaps not worth the effort it takes. I have no clue as to how long it takes to set these shots up, nor all the effort you put into it, so I am just asking out of curiosity.
Also are you interested in the models from any other properties beside B5 and Stargate? I would be very intrigued at what you could do with Star Wars, Farscape or Space Above and Beyond (My favorite designs).
I've never been big into Battlestar but anything is possible.Cool! You ever consider building a TOS battlestar?
These scenes are set in the future. So they are orginal designs and that is a next generation starfury.I do not remember that Starfury with the tail in Tides of War.
I don't believe i changed much in the gate texture. Maybe some color tweaks. Basically it is just a cone with a texture map.Have you updated your jump texture? How did you make it?
Loving the raider attack, tides of war and the drone assault. I think the perspective wrong on the Babylon 5 crossover though, the way the Phoenix is coming through the gate looks... off... to me.
Well, I didn't remember you modeling it, either. These scenes are set in the future. So they are orginal designs and that is a next generation starfury.
Lol. Clearly it is a stealth fighter.Well, I didn't remember you modeling it, either.
I need new B5 in my life, sigh.
Thanks.Very impressive. The level of physical detail there... I know a lot of it is repeated but wow.
How do you make those hemispheres on the bow? Do you extrude the panels out or do you cut the grid lines in?
