• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Those are looking good... Almost makes me want to dust off my TOS stuff.

Thanks Syf. :)

I have now finished the Sherman and it's ready for hardpointing (not that I am going to do that).

Here are some screenshots along with a fleet scale picture to show you all the sizing of the ships against one another.

I've never liked the look of the TOS ships, but I gotta say, it still managed to look quite good. :D

Thanks Trekie, some TOS ships are quite bad but then again the series was done in the late 60's to early 70's so the technology wasn't as good as when the TNG and the TMP movies were made.

Hence why I am changing the designs slightly but trying to keep to the classic feel of TOS.

Well this weekend I have been spending nearly all my time of these models and thinking about them a fair bit and made some decisions.

For starters each variation of the Federation will have a different fleet with only the Constitution being standard in all three fleets.

Secondly I am making each race slightly different looking (and not just texture wise). For example the impulse and warp nacelles will all be different to one another. That is the Federation ships will have a different style of nacelles to the Terrans etc.

Some sides will have more than one style of nacelle to show the age of some of the vessels. For example the Federation Daedalus class has a different nacelle style to the rest of the fleet as it is the oldest ship they have still in service.

Here are some images of the 3 versions of the Constitution together to show you want I am trying to do. I still need to change the Terran's warp nacelles more and change either the Federation's or Galactic Orders impulse assembly as well as finishing the texturing of the Galactic Order's warp nacelles (no inside grill added yet).

Here are some x-era Romulans I have recently done, the nacelles are by Syf and as is the Bird of Prey just modified by me. The Skyhawk and Hlai are both designs I've seen for SFC 3. Textures by WickedZombie.
