[Help] Hardpointing in MS3D Error

I am using MS3D 1.8.4 on a Vista 64 bit system with no problems. Have you aimed your weapon hardpoints? If you just put a hardpoint, it will by default "aim" at the parent node. If your weapon has a defined firing arc, your weapon may not be aiming on the enemy.

Try highlighting one of your weapon hardpoints. Then place another hardpoint on the screen in the direction you want your weapon to fire. Save the file, delete the extra hp then export.

That sounds alittle to complicated to do right now especially when I have just started using MS3D and also this problem is occuring with a ship that I created with just one hardpoint in the front. Its not the models in MS3D, when saved, they loose their hardpoints as I already discovered using UTMV1.

assimisoft's viewer thing, it usually lets you view, move/create etc hardpoints but it's a ***** to use sometimes and it's no longer supported afaik.

@swilson: sorry, i must have missed your post about you having tried a different weapon odf, didn't mean to annoy you with that, eliminating potential causes is all a very big part (read THE BIGGEST lol) of programming/modelling (well most of the IT world in fact). Could you send me one of your exported .sods that doesn't have hardpoints?

Yea, what he Huet said, that is exactly what UTMV1 is. I only use it now to see if a model has hardpoints after it doesn't work ingame. Its getting to the point I that if the ship (or station now) doesn't use its weapons I'm going to find the hardpoints missing. Hardpoints that I worked so hard to place if the model was something I was finishing or designed myself. It is a pain and a heartbreak to see.

E-mail sent. I gave you two SOD files. One for the MS3D model that I created myself and also the SOD file for the Ancients Replicator Class, a ship that I retextured through MS3D to have the Aurora Class Warship textures. The Federation Starship that it originally was still works perfectly for my Federation.

Ok, I have completed the Hardpoint Map for the Super Wraith Hiveship (The ZPM Powered One).

Here are the screenshots for this hardpoint map.

Also with this, I have completed my color coded hardpoint maps for the ships and stations that I would like some help hardpointing and getting game ready.
There are also two other stations that I would like to have hardpointed, I have given a notepad document about them, but the hardpoints are up to you where you place them, I don't really care where they go.

One is the Ancients Ground Base/Hanger by RJB, I was wondering if he could help me with that one?
The other is the Ancients Weapons Satellite from Armada2files. This one I copied the MS3D file and made a second one by expanding part of the original. My expanded one fully shows up in game, but the other one doens't show up right but they are the exact same station so this doesn't make sense.

I got one possible question, is there another program that can save as SODs and also open MS3D files?

For now though, I would like it if someone can help me finish the models that are causing all of these problems with their weapons.

Well I am at it, I would like to post my last hardpoint maps for My Ancients Weapon Satellites, really, these hardpoints can be placed any where on the models by the person that helps me with them.

For the the Ancients Weapons Satellite that I slightly modified, I circled structures in red that I feel should be the place that the satellite fires its beam weapon, the one I think would be the best is numbered 1, this is because it is the longest structure.

Note that the same model that I didn't edit doesn't fully show up in the game (the picture with all 3 satellites shows something purplish, that is suppose to be the same unchanged station, doesn't look it though).
