"A new series of adventures, featuring the Eighth Doctor and new companion Lucie, are to be broadcast weekly on BBC7 from New Year's Eve. Each episode, along with interviews and features, will also be released monthly on single CD from January beginning with Blood of the Daleks - Part 1, by Steve Lyons.
Paul McGann stars as the Doctor in all eight episodes of this new mini-series and is joined by Sheridan Smith who plays new companion, Lucie Miller from Blackpool. Sheridan will be familiar to British TV audiences and has starred in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crips, Grownups and Holby City amongst others. Lucie is a strong willed Northern lass who, initially at least, is an unwilling traveller aboard the TARDIS having been placed there as part of a Time Lord witness protection programme. But what has she witnessed? Even she doesn't seem to know."
