How's the weather where you are? That's the topic of this thread.

I'll start. SNOW...And lots of it. We haven't seen this much snow here in northern Oklahoma in a few years. Oh, and it gets better... It just started about 1 hour ago. It's already almost to 5cm (2" inches for us US people). They are saying we may get upto 30cm (12" inches) or more over the next few hours.

So, what's in your weather?

Not really cold, not really warm. No snow, some raindrops (just very very few) over the day.
It sucks! I want snow or at least temperatures below -4°C!!

My local update...

Guess what... More snow. I just went out to remove the snow off my porch, by the time I got it off the far end, snow was already covering up the first end I started on. :Y :x I give up on that for now.

The snow already covers my shoes... Looks like I'm in for a big one. I'm not native to here, but southern California. There, the only thing we called snow would get you 20 years in the pen for a small brick size piece of it. So, I'm not really into snow... Matter of fact, I don't like the cold wet flaky stuff. It just makes my day gloomy. I need a pick'me up... maybe a spammer to ban or something. :lol2:

You're lucky, Syf. I really want snow here. This isn't normal, usually at this time of year here in Norway we got snow and almost - 5 degrees Celsius. But instead we have +7 degrees Celsius and from time to time some rain! At least it's not raining right now, but it did a few hours ago. Now it's just cloudy, even though I can see the moon behind the clouds. (Yes, it's late evening now, and still + 7 degrees C.... )

Same here! I am just a few hundred klicks south of Norway, and it is just too warm for this time in the year!

Looks like Global Warming shows the first consequences... or it is just a normal inconsistensy in the yearly temperatures. Who knows...

As long as the only affects of Global Warming are warm winters and Spain like summers I’m not complaining unfortunately I expect there is some sort of negative side like the ice caps melting and everybody drowning.

Lucky!?! Well, I don't think of it as lucky. The croplands need the moisture, but not me...

Here, it is currently -8c, wind chill makes it feel like -16c. Snow fall level is up to about 12cm. If this is the kind of stuff you like, then you'd love it here. Me, I think I'll stay inside for now.

It's almost always too hot or too cold.

Well, It finally stopped snowing. It was a heavy snowfall for about 15 straight hours. Overall, I have about 20cm (8"inches) on my front lawn. The snow drifts in my car port are up to over 1.25m (4' feet).

I didn't want to get out in it, but I had to. My wife's uncle got stuck in a ditch (gutter) along one of the roads. So, I went and towed him out. Funny thing was, before I could get to him, another person was stuck in the middle of the road in a snow drift on the way to him. So, I towed that guy out first. Didn't even get a thank you from that stranger. There was other cars around the first guy, and no one even offered to help. They just sat there on the road waiting for him to move. When I finally got to my wifes uncle, his car was in a ditch about 1.7m deep (5' feet). His car was almost completely buried in the snow. I dug him out, towed him out, then escorted him home. He was very happy to see me when I got there, and even happier when I got him to his house. So, I guess I did my good deed for the day.

Warming up today here in Australia. Still not much of a summer, I have been wearing jeans still, well until this afternoon. Best guess on the temp lately would have to be anywhere from 25-28 degrees C.

Knowning my luck as soon as I go back to work the real summer will hit, a nice 40 degrees C.

We gave some heavy rainfall, additionally to some strong wind.

The Deputy Mayor of Berlin issued Storm Warning today, as the storm "Kyrill" proceeds over Europe. It will pass nearly all parts of Germany, then continue to Poland and then to Russia...

My area got Ice last weekend, and now this weekend, they are calling for 8-12 inches of snow.

I haven't heard nor seen Crazyfrog online this week, and I heard that his area was hit with a very bad ice storm, causing a power-outage.

Harrie, Didn't you get any snow or Ice from this last front that plowed through the states? I heard Chicago got it.

I had a six day weekend because the ice on the roads here made it difficult to drive to school. I also have heard it is pretty bad in most of the Northern States.

Tommy MK1 was telling me the same thing, he lives in Holland. He also said England and Belgium are getting hit hard too.

I wish... That last front that came through dumped maybe an 1/8th of an inch (3 mm) of ice, give or take a bit, on us. Scenes like this and this were common... But there wasn't enough to get us out of school.

We were getting temps in the single digits.... It's 34 (F) but with wind chill it's more like 20 or 23. I dont' think this new storm coming in will hit us either.

We got hit pretty bad around here. It down poured for about 2 days. It was rain and freezing rain. Most people are without power and alot of areas are not passable b/c of downed trees and powerlines. I been spending most of the last week driving people around to help them find warm places to go. I have had a few places to go to get online. Atleast I only had to go offroading in my car once . But it has been fun. I also here we are suppose to get a foot of snow this week end. Every tree around my area has lost almost 80 percent of thier limbs. It looks like a war zone around here.

Time to revive this thread. :)

Today I spotted this winter's first snow coming down. It's still snowing, and I would guess it's around 0 degrees C here right now. :)

Here are three pics taken of the snow fall:

Very gray cloudy sky, with some rain and wind. Cold air, and that plus having to stay indoors, it seems you can't win. I'll update if there are any major changes.

Temperature in the 40s around here, between 4 and 10 degrees Celsius. Horribly cloudy with a strong wind. Occasional rain, but no snow. We aren't that high. I expect the first snow in december around here, as always.

ATM I'm not really eager for snow. We're approaching Halloween, the festival of Samhain. All I need is a cloudless night and the full moon... :yum:

It's currently 20 degrees celcius here and climbing, the sun is shining and there is a gentle breeze blowing, nice spring day for a change.
