• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

    Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. lol just after playin it again ( i gave it a rest once i had played 2 weeks non stop with it :D ) and wonderin if any of u guys ever played this ? . right now i have 8 ships onstandby :) . ill post details of them here :D

Flagship of my fleet , the Plasma Gun makes sure most ships will sink in 1 hit . but she has 1 major flaw , due to being a Battlecarrier , she has min aft weaponry , all cannons are aimed at the front . she can turn instantly ( thrusters ) but she is in trouble if the enemy latch on behind her

this is the 1st attemp at a ship capable of unleashing fearsome firepower , but still stay afloat , it didnt fair to well , while the cannons are quick to fire due to the best auto reload around ( Y type ) she is hard to move and even harder to keep afloat , with next to no armor she has to strike 1st of fall under a barrage of shells . she is useless against the laser ships in el:2 . but kept as a relic

the Midway used to be a AA Cruiser , Armed with massive gattling Guns and anti aircraft missile systems . she was refitted once she became useless due to other ships anti air systems being capable of almost any assault . she was transformed into this high speed assault craft when the Uber weapon was found . the speed allows her to outrun any weapon and the weapons aboard mean she is defended against all attacks by that weapon . but her AA abilitys are behind now . with only the Palaxe system to defend her . never the less . she is a outstanding threat , very hard to hit but packing quite a punch

the Kestral was created during the 1st run thro when some interestin Fighters got researched . she was put in reserve tho until such a time a Carrier would be needed , when i was bored i desided to test her against the Empire High Speed Battleship ( Wirblewind ) . she performed very well and i started to use here as my new Flagship ( Floatin hell was only a cruiser at that time , the Kestral made it look like a gunboat ! ) the Kestral has been upgraded and is now sitin ready for lanch at any time . tho not used as much she is always ready incase the need arises for a massive carrier . she was named after the aircraft carrier from Ace Combat 5 and the Belkan War . her weapons are the best around and combined with the jets . she is a major threat in battle . no useful weak points have been found yet

This was the 1st Battleship of the fleet , she was refited and is now 1 of the most useful ships in it . heavy armored and with a very nice weapons the Dauntless lives up to its name , its cannons can target faw away prey and deliver a shell right to the bridge . the cannons are the best around ( i dont like the 100cm versions , 80 is much more useful and smaller ) . this ship is capable of takin out the Uber weapon before a shot can be fired from her . she is the battleship of all battleships . capable of takin a fleet down in a few shot minutes . this beast is protected from both sea and air threats .

the Ragnarok was designed as soon as laser weaponry became open . she was refitted when more destructive weapons where found and was given the Magnetic Pulse Cannon salavged from the AWOL Super Weapon . she was upgraded again with the breac Wave Gun soon after is was researched and was also given some salavaged partical guns , most weapons on the boat have been researched but some still arent availble . she is armed all with optical weaponry so she is weak against ships armed with a EM Shield .

the Poseidon was created die to a need for a small , fast attack ship that could strike fast and get out with not much damage . the Midway was good for her speed but due to being a Battleship she was easy to hit . the Poseidon was made out of a UK Frigate ( i liked the look of it :thumbsup: ) and it was prepared for battle . the end result was this . a fast and very deadly attack ship . she was tested and was found that she took little damage even when sailing thro the middle of a enemy fleet , the ships design also ment that she was very manuverable , and could outmanuver almost any ship . the AGS system ment that she can unleash her payload on multiple targets as well ! , she quickly became the ship that would outclass all others in terms of firepower . just shows size doesnt matter :lol2:

Update !

the German Sub got a refit :) . she has the same load as before , but due to being rearranged i fitted 4 High Explosive Missiles as well :)

the Faehell gt a total refit , she was completly changed :) . she is now a Twin Battleship and is armed with the Breac Wave Gun , 2 80mm Cannons , 16 280 AGS , 1 New Plasma Cannon , 6 ASRoc , 12 RAM , 20 CWIS . slow and hard to move but is a floatin fortress ! ,

the Kesteral got refitted . new jets and takin some useless guns off and puttin some more on :)

PS2 , good game :) . i had never played it before . but i found out about it on Gamespot ( a naval warship game , dont see many of those ) . looked interestin , got it and its brilliant :) .

I loved the prequel Naval Ops: Warship Gunner. Those were the good ole days of running my 2-hulled battleship through a fleet of unsuspecting transports at 80+ knots, chainguns blazing, raining death on all who dared get in range or thought they could escape. Just a second let me revel in the memories....

Ok, I'm done. I've not played this yet but from what I've seen and heard it's great... once you get past the fact that it can be like chewing nails to learn to play. And my nephew, who has played it, told me he wasn't all that thrilled with the animeish characters that just pose and don't even speak and as much as I like anime I'm not too sure I would either. They could have left the characters as disimbodied voices and I'd of been just peachy.

As far as I'm concerned Koei made a huge mistake in introducing support ships to Naval Ops: Commander. As long as Warship Gunner 2 doesn't have those I'm sure we could get along nicely.

But I do have one question are there Double-hulled carriers in this one? I know everyone wanted them to be in Naval Ops: Warship Gunner, but they weren't.

there is some enemy super weapon carriers ( 2 normal , 1 battlecarrier ) . but u can get the Super Carrier ( single hull , but its the same as 1 of the hulls on the super carrier , holds 30 jets and got tons of room for guns :angel: ) . and i played the 1st 1 ( but gave up after a few missions , the aimin was a pain ! ) but prefere the 2nd ( better graphics , better gameplay )

update

ok ive redone all ships , Floatin Hell is now a Giant Battlecarrier , armed with forward and aft weaponry ( 280 AGS , 6 cannons aft ) as well as 20 planes

the sub now has High Explosive Missiles , very handy but dont get to close to the targets ;)

Faehell is a double hull Battleship and is my most powerful ship ( 80 mm Cannons ( 2 ) , Massive Wave Cannons ect with AGS's around to defend

most others have just gotten speed upgrades
