I have been doing a bit of looking around at youtube this afternoon and came across quite a few CGI videos done by fans.

Paul posted a Midway video he found on youtube in the RPG section and I found an extended version here that I thought I would post.

Its about a Federation fleet taking on a Earth Alliance (Babylon 5) fleet. Got some pretty good effects there. Gotta love when that Sovereign (ST) and Excalibur (B5) ram into each other.

That is some good ****, however, I was amused to see how many ships exited from that Federation Outpost  Must be similar to the Tardis, bigger on the inside than the outside.

Anyway, CGI was good, but without that ram, the Federation would have been owned. not that they weren't owned anyway, all there ships were destroyed, if not by the B5 expedition, then by the explosion.

that cgi stuff if actually taken from a Finnish Star trek/ B5 parody called Star wreck. Its a 1:45 long actual movie and its hilarious. From what I read it took them 7 years to make the movie. If you guys have time to waste you should watch it. Its actually pretty impressive.

It is pretty impressive, didn't realise it took 7 years to complete. Ouch...

i dunno. like i said thats what i heard. i dont know if its true. but i would think most of that time would be taken up by doing those awesome cgi battle scenes. i doubt those can be put together in a few weeks if you have to start from scratch.

I watched it yesterday, didn't know it wasn't English though. Still, read the subtitles, and watched the fighting scenes. Was fairly comical in parts, but slightly.. stupid in other parts. Can't be helped I guess.

But still, was good, CGI and what not cannot be faulted, though the time for creation is a long one (7 years). Can't believe the ended up on a Constitution though
