• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Went out to my property and discovered someone has been stealing stuff. I probably showed up when they were in the middle of it. They forgot parts of some sets. LOL.
I really need to get a rv or something out there to help get rid of people thinking nobody is out there.

I don't think I have access to the mail address those go to. Maj should have access, but I don't know how often he checks it.
Anyway, if you have questions regarding the site or need help with something, it's best to ask on the forums or message us staff members. You should get an answer pretty quickly that way.

Stupid question. I can see decommissioning the cvn 65 but do you think that chopping up 65 was a good idea? I mean if things go hot with china wouldn't we want all the floating airfields we could get are hands on? Maybe you could explain it like I'm six and a redneck idiot! :lol2:

The main factor is that the CVN 65 was over her age she was built in 1958, and would be expensive to mothball her to make such an effort practical, in addition to the fact that the ship would need to be partially dismantled anyway to remove the eight reactors safely or even to replace them.

The carrier along with eight reactors she had numerous compartments contaminated by radiation and therefore could not be used /saved as an museum or even a target ship.

So we're luckily to have some of her steel reposed to the CVN 80.

Thanks Hellkite! Makes sense now. I didn't realize they would have to dismantle her to get to the reactors. I guess I just figured that the reactors would be able to be removed for maintenance and upgrades. Although after a google search I see that they are in the bowls of the ship. Guess I would NOT make a good ship right.

I'm considering that
It's just I've started to lose faith in the community that I enjoyed back when armada2files was still up

Russia " Lost " 2 Beriev A-50u (NATO reporting name: Mainstay) Their Primary and newest airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) this week.
For the record they have less than eight of them "not all are operational " and that is in the total Russian Aerospace Forces not just in this theater . and marks the third Russian A-50 military reconnaissance aircraft destroyed this year so far.

Well done Ukraine. this is a real big deal

Can you explain what you mean? It's been more than 20 years since the game was released, so there's understandably not much left of the modding community of those days. That said, there are still a few of us hanging out here and actively modding the game, as well as those who've retired from modding but can still offer advice. They're all friendly people.

Hello:
All I can say for you all in the USA is: watch it. I watched the total solar eclipse of 1991 and 2019 and it is an experience beyond dreams.
