The new rank insignias

I like the new rank insignias for the moderators and admins. Of course, now I have to fix my avatar.

Its not over yet. I wasn't going to public announce this yet but may as well now. Over the next couple of week I will be installing different colours. This will also give members the ability to choose which colour ranks they want the choices will be:

Starfleet
Red
Yellow
Teal

Starfleet Marines/Starfighter Corps
Black
White

Staff won't be able to pick and choose though, but non-staff members can have a choice.

Cool You should probably add Green to that Marine list instead of black though, Black is usually Spec Ops while the Green is normally for the Marines, and then the White is for Starfighters.

I am going off Midway (Both RPG and FF Versions), where black are Marines (like ENT Macos) and white are starfighters.

I have a question I want to ask the members here. I am setting the ranks up so I wont need to adjust them for a few years, currently I only have cadets, warrant officers and officers in.

Do you want the enlisted ranks in as well? If so it would decrease the time to go up in rank.

Personally I'd just do Enlisted and Officer ranks, Warrant is technically a sidestep for Enlisted personnel isn't it? And Cadets don't enlist, they go on to become officers...

You could go with most of the different rank insignias from many of the sci-fi shows. I love the staff ones! People love options. You have them for Crossovers.

I agree. The more options for the member, the better. But spread out the ranks so that a high rank has to have a higher level of posts (5,000 for a Commander, 10,000 for a captain...lol *evil laugh*)!

I like the new idea. It only took about 5 minute to edit the pic I used. My camera phone takes good pictures.LOL. Well, time to head off to work. Sorry, I did not mean to push you to announce something so quickly.

Its okay CF, was going to do it sooner or later.

I will be making the highter ranks Captain and above to be at least 5,000 posts. There are even admirals now that members can gain, though you will need a post count like what I currently have to get them.

Oh thats the easy part one goes into their user control panel (User CP) go down the bottom to group memberships. Then they choose which one they want and make sure it is selected as their display group and bingo all done.

Still waiting on feedback about the enlisted ranks before I decide to go any further.

skip the enlisted ranks lol. just have the officers ranks . that wud be my vote. though ill be happy just having a black spec ops rank pin

i have a legit claim to being spec ops lol. i play a lot of those games where your special ops, like republic commando, graw, and rainbow 6. im almost a colonel now, last rank before elite!!

If that is the case everyone will still have the same rank. If I put enlisted in the time between ranks will be decreased due to the amount of ranks we would have.

Its up to the members in the long run.

fair enough - more satisfaction when you accomplish the next rank though if it takes you longer to do so...
