• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

    Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

    We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

It has just occurred to me that there isn't a place to post other sci-fi shows, so I trust that I am posting this in the right area.

Anyway, The Event. Anyone here heard of, or follow this? It's a sci-fi / conspiracy show. 17 or 18 episodes into the first season, season two has been green-lit too (for a full episode line-up). I was sceptical when I first watched it, those that have seen the pilot episode will understand me there, but the subsequent episodes make up for that and I'm firmly on board with this show right now.

In short, the show is about a group of humanoid crash survivors (when I say humanoid, they're exactly like us; only they don't naturally age). There's a government conspiracy to keep their existence away from the public eye; such the government believes they've got them all locked up, though as the show goes on, you (the viewer) realises that there are many 'sleepers' working throughout the globe that the government aren't initially aware of.

Then there is much more that I haven't yet been able to work out, but it's getting rather good.

I am glad. Shame though, the final was on last night (brilliantly done) though there are currently no plans for a second season. NBC stupidly cancelled the show, the producers (so I hear) are looking to air elsewhere. Here's hoping they find somewhere. This is too-good a show to lose out on.
