I would imagine mid or late 2008. From the Trailer though, it doesn't look all that 'wow'. A few more Ori ships getting their ass kicked, and it shows a replay of the Korlev getting owned..

I trust the movie will be better than what the trailer portrays (I can almost guarentee it will, this is Stargate afterall) :p

Aye, way to many replays of the actual seasons to be a good trailer, but hell, it's stargate... :D I just watched 'Unending' again last night for kicks, but hey, a trailer is a trailer and I will definitely love Ark of Truth...

Looks awesome to me, ok there were too many replays but meh. im a SG freak and i want to see it.

Unless its bee put back

I thoguht the Ark of truth was early '08 and the other one (i forget the name) late '08

As on gateworld i read that the writers are wanting to get 2 movies a year until they run out of ideas.

and seen as there is Atlantis, 10 years of SG1 and another spin off in the mix. I dont see it happening for a while!

"MGM announces official Ark of Truth details

Thursday - December 20, 2007 | by Darren Sumner

UPDATED: MGM has corrected the bonus features list, adding two additional featurettes (now listed below).

MGM and Fox Home Entertainment today released the first official info on the first SG-1 DVD movie, Stargate: The Ark of Truth. Confirming earlier reports, the movie will indeed be released on DVD on March 11 (Region 1 - North America) and carry a suggested sticker price of $26.98 U.S. / $37.98 Canada.

There is no official word yet on the DVD's availability in other parts of the world.

The movie has a running time of 97 minutes.

Bonus features include:

Audio commentary with writer, director and producer Robert C. Cooper, actor Christopher Judge and director of photography Peter Woeste

"Stargate SG-1: The Road Taken: Prelude to The Ark of Truth." This featurette will catch up viewers on the Ori story ark from Seasons Nine and Ten.

"The Ark of Truth: Stargate at Comic-Con" featurette

"Uncovering The Ark of Truth" featurette

Audio and video specs include:

English: Dolby Surround 5.1

Spanish & French: Dolby Surround

Language: Dubbed: English, French & Spanish

Subtitled: English & Spanish

Theatrical Aspect Ratio: Widescreen: 1.78:1

Beware of minor spoilers for the movie below. Here's how the studio describes The Ark of Truth:

In search of an ancient weapon which could help them defeat the sinister Ori force, SG-1 discovers it may be in the Ori's own home galaxy and must travel there aboard the Odyssey, only to find themselves in a distant galaxy fighting two powerful enemies.

This thrilling feature-length film picks up where Stargate SG-1 left off, thrusting the Stargate team -- Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks), Vala (Claudia Black), Teal'c (Christopher Judge), Sam (Amanda Tapping) and Cam (Ben Browder) -- into their most exciting adventure yet. In search of an Ancient artifact they hope can defeat the oppressive Ori, the team learns that the Ori are set to launch a final assault on Earth and a double-crossing I.O.A. operative is aboard the Odyssey!"
