One of the things I find amusing in particular about A2 is scaling. Custom ships seem to come in two sizes.

1.) A starship only about 2cm longer than a Toyota Prius which mounts starbase grade weapons and lots of 'em. Along with a ridiculously large number of crew. BTW, what Toyota calls an accelerator problem, we know as warp drive.

2.) A starship roughly equaling the size of a Class J planet which mounts a ridiculous number of starbase grade weapons, yet can out maneuver a scout. These humongous things all seem to have crew of six or so.

To be fair, the stock ships started this. Look at a Borg Wedge and tell me there is room for 500 Drones in a hull that size. Likewise, look at the Stock battleships. The sizes are all over the place. Crews all seem to be just big enough to get one of these out of space dock. JJprise isn't the only ship with scaling issues in the Trek universe. She's just carrying on a family tradition.

Interesting that even though there were like a million other designs already in existence (due to the ST:XI re design) they went ahead and made yet another...

I'm loving the version of the JJprise you got there... 30,000 polys...each put to good use...

Ah, she's actually R5D5's model, which is apparently based on Gabe's version. Before we got any ideas on what the real STXI model would be like. I used her as a place holder in game. I never really replaced or got rid of her though.

Yeah, great ship, unfortunately, the nacelle on that a2 model are wrong for that origional model.

These can be any size which is convenient for them right now. Posting long rambling treatises about how, "The ship can't possibly be that big! 'Cuz of ________. So I don't care what the guy who made it says, he's wrong!", could be a sign of the onset of FanBoy hood. Consult your doctor.

Googled it. "Missile Cruiser". Aaaah! Scary. Bet the FanBoys would faint dead away if anyone ever came near A2 with one of those in game ready format. But if anyone does convince Jetfreak to be the Lead Graphic Artist on the PS3 version of this, sign me up for the closed beta and the pre release purchase as well.

Anyway, , DAC had so much potential but it turned out to be another average arcade shooter. I'd imagine this game to be a lot Bridge Commander like, and modern GFX and story would really be its selling point. ^_^
