Hello all you Toon heads...

I know some have heard a rumor I was working on something related to DD24.5! Well, here is phase 1 of my DD24.5 project. It's just a little fun project I wanted to on the side. It gave me a laugh when I was watching DD24.5, and so I set out to find blueprints / schematics for the DD24.5 ship. Well guess what... I didn't find any on the vastness of the Internet. So, I started my DD24.5 project by making a schematic for the later to be 3D model.

So, let me cut the chalk out and get to the picture show...

Now, here is a peak at what I have up my sleeve for this coming year. I plan to make a Power Rangers/ Voltron copycat version using the DD24.5 ship.

Well, I hope you got a laugh, and maybe even find this interesting.

Give me some feedback if you want.

Well thank you TMC.

I'm just doing this as a spoof to all the other mods out there.

I forgot to say, I'm making these all 3D models later. If there is a request, I may hardpoint them and make them Armada 2 ready. But first I have to finish the othor views of it to complete my blueprints for it. A tedious but fun project. Thank God for Youtube... I could do this without it.

some very fine.... if a little randomly inspired work...

Can already imagine what the klingons would make of that particular ship captain when his face came on the viewer....

Very awesome looking blueprints by the way Syf, what did you use to make them? Illustrator?

Around here we have Boomerang TV that has a ton of the old syndicated cartoons, including Loony-Toons and Yes, Duck Dodgers in the 24th and a half century.

Actually no. I use good old MS-Paint for making schematics like this. I use either my old Paintshop or Photoshop to convert them to jpg format. MS-Paint can do that, but it has a very bad-bad-bad conversion/compression algorithim.

Ah cool, I've thought about getting Boomerang but it would ultimately mean spending money I'm not willing to until I get a better Television or TV tuner for my PC... As it is I dont ever turn on the TV so it wouldn't make too much sense anyway...

And for Paint work I gotta say those are pretty awesome. :D

One can be surprised what one can do with simple tools... Look at the cavemen, they only have rock and bone to work with. Ahhhh, the good old days, I remember them like they were yesterday!

Real quick, while we're on the topic of cartoons...Is the old 80's cartoon "Bionic Six" on the Boomerang channel? I grew up watching that and it was my favorite show as a kid, and I would love to see it again. There's been rumors circling the internet that they're gonna put it on DVD like some of the other 80's show, e.x. Super Mario Bros., Zelda, C.O.P.S. Transfores, etc. I also miss MASK.

I think I have seen it on Boomerang... But I will not swear to it.

Mask... lol, I remember that show! It was one of my favorite set of toys for a short time. Transformers was and is still my all time favorite cartoon.

Now back to the topic, does any one have any questions or comments/suggestions as I move from 2D DD24.5 to 3D?

Syf, thank you for giving me one heck of a flash back

Everything looks dead on, I await to see it in 3D.

I have a comment. More of a question really. Are you going to just do the ship or you gonna stick a little Daffy Duck in with it? If not, maybe you could put Daffy in the window of the ship so when we zoom in on it, we can see him.

Making the Daffy would be hard. That's the problem with making a low poly model (for game use), is you also have to watch the image sizes too.

But I could make one with Daffy hanging on for dear life on a cable dangling from the rear. That would be funny.

Daffy hanging out the back would be funny. Make sure you get plenty of voice clips for it too. LOL. Whats next the ship off of Futurama?

Currently, I have no plans of anything else...

But notice the different colored versions of the ship... I am thinking of a "Space Jam" mini-mod. Single side, MP version only, with maybe 3 stations. Something light that I can toy with on during down-times.
