• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

No visible update on the STO rips yet, either its a slow month or people really don't really put a high priority on Discovery ships. :p

I might have a *Cough* solution for you, but it has a few steps to it....at least to get more current ship models. Older ones are easier.

For the older ones; go to this forum page which has links to the textures, ship models, etc. everything you need to make most STO ships. Just scroll down (or use ctrl + f) to find someone called B3Bomber and one of his posts (it has a few links in it and is clearly marked). You will have to move many parts around. For example, one had nacelles merged into the stardrive (but just a simple drag put them in the right place).

For new models (like the Nimitz and Europa Class Heavy Battlecruisers - STO's internal class name types); you'll have to go through a few steps, none that I have tried, to find them. This link should be how people have stolen/captured/reverse engineered/observed STO models from the game.

THIS ALL SAID - I am only sharing this resource so people can rebuild STO starships and not to ripe them from STO and port into other games (at least not directly).

Thanks for that, it's exactly what I was after.

Absolutely this site doesn't support theft. I just want them to make versions of my own and this helps greatly. Thanks. :)

Any STO models made? Available anywhere? I am not fan of STO Federation designs, but Klingons surely have some interesting BOPS on a scale between B'rel and K'vort. And classics ships with new colours would be interesting, for example, Galor with purple Dominion shields. Romulans are cool too, especially Borg enchanced designs and futuristic version of T'Varo class. Well, just asking, i would like to take a look. :)

Are any of these models still acquirable somewhere? Not that I would use any of them directly, they are too detailed, but it's so much easier to make STO ships if you have a proper reference...

I remember posting dropbox link for STO models you are asking here on MSFC long time ago...
I'l try to find it...
There were tons of models, but like you said - there were so many parts of each model - so it was bloody difficult to merge all those parts in one... However there were exceptions - for smaller ships you could have just one part and you could easily make it available for gaming...
Issue I had and never really managed to fix it were textures of STO models in Armada 1 (A1)... Maybe you already know, but there is only one texture file needed for STO model, and STO models' textures work fine in Armada 2, but in Armada 1 those textures aren't rendered good... Who knows, maybe someone with more knowledge could easily fix that...

Thanks, this helps a lot! Do you happen to have a link with the Romulan textures as well?
