• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

    Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. Found out from TV.com and Wikipedia that Stargate:Extinction is the name of the upcoming Atlantis DVD movie.

read about that over on gateworld a while ago..

Apprently thast just the working title as (and i quote) "It applies to the storyline"

Could this potentially be an end to the wraith?

I would have to assume so, though failing that It's likely some minor race no one's heard about or will care about in the long run...

But from what I head Amanda Tapping's in it? So it'll at least be watchable? :p

I know it's been a while since this thread was active but just thought I'd update it a little. From what I can put together Stargate:Extinction will be the release title for the movie, the production was put on hold for a while due to the state of the US economy however shortly afterwards the production started up again, apperantly they moved the entire set to Canada and began filming there and the movie is now scheduled for a 2011 release. Something to look forward to. :D

I know that this thread seems to have been inactive for some time and I hope I'm not violating and rules by posting here, but I was wondering if anyone has heard about when this movie will be released, even if its direct to DVD, I have been wondering about it since Atlantis ended and I'm getting more and more interested in seeing it.

Last I read (via Gateworld) Extinction has been 'shelved'. It doesn't look like we'll be getting anything from the Stargate Saga for a while. Not since Syfy cancelled Universe.

Did they cancel Universe after Season 2?
I ask because it seems to be continuing on here in Australia.

They've cancelled the show, yes, though season two hasn't finished airing just yet.

Could it be that you are currently watching season one?

Season two is half way through, the remainder of the season starts again (in the US) on Monday, I think it's ten or eleven episodes, and then that's it. SGU is finished. No doubt the show will end with a cliff-hanger, possibly leading up to a movie, but we don't know about that yet.
