• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

    Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

as with the Mjolnir this ship will come with 2 ODFs the "super ship of doom" more powerful than the excalibur, im thinking of basically putting all the weapons i can think of/fit on it. including all of the special weapons and Base Pulses and Sov phasers and torps.

And a second, more realistic one. still will have Sov phasers and torps as they all do. also have 2 pulse Hps in the corners of the "crossbar"

sounds pretty good, though i think i prefer the more realistic one.
when are these going to be up for download???

i would just like to say,

For the patients of my fans there shall be a reward, an entirely new ship, of my own design, only 2 people have seen it :O i want it a suprise.

tho tbh when i say fans probably only includes my parents and they say "oh... thats pretty" to which my reply is "its a warship... its not meant to be pretty!" lol anyway....

just thought id start trying to build up suspense :O what coudl this new ship be? what does it look like?

(and if the two people that have seen it says anything, i WILL hunt you down :p)

Well I wouldn't use it in any of my mods due to the fact there are so many Federation ships out there. But I will wait and see her before sitting judgement on it. :thumbsup:

Unless you are doing TMP or earlier its hard todo a good orginal ship that fills a nich in the fleet not already filled by good designs.

ok, well as the general concensus seems to be "no more fed ships!" im going to show my original design. i will admit i borrowed a few ideas from other designs, and this texture ISNT a final attempt. Im currently trying out an intrepid texture

(any recomendations on a good one?)

Looking good, though a better texture would make the model much better. I suggest trying battleclinic, P81 has an Intrepid exture over there and their are a few others too.

cheers, i tried P81s intrepid texture on A2 files. as much as i love that guys work, i can say th eintrepid texture was my thing. It was far too blue. but ill keey at it

I have just sent the file to Majestic containing the Aurora, The Orion, the Mjolnir and teh witchhead. with any luck it should be ready for download asap.

no akira on steroids as i kinda lost liking for that ship. might perfect it later.

I really liked the hybrid constellation/sovvy design, jeddy. (loved the constellation class)

Personally I like the Aurora, Orion and the witchhead, the mjolnir... meh its ok lol

btw if you are still getting the texture error, it seems to be ok with the models that have been uploaded here.

i'll have a look but i think i redownloaded them anyway. it might just be me lol. but i'll give it a try, i like the Orion :)
