Some Seals...

Ok, so I've been working on some seals for my Task Force (link is in the links section if anyone's interested in more) and I just wanted to get some input on the ones I've done so far as well as idea's for future ones...

So, first I give you the Starfighter Division seal for Task Force 575... It will be further customized to reflect the Wing number/name/etc... once I get a CAG for the Starbase...

Next in the Intelligence Division seal for the Task Force, it is oft seen and it's members few and far between.

Finally (for the moment anyway) is the Knight Unit Seal, they are a Counter Terror/Internal Security group in the Intelligence Division made up of Marine and Fleet officers alike...

I've been told a Medical one is in the works by a very talented woman who is my Task Force Executive and technically we have seals for our Spec Ops units and Marines already, but I'll still do my own versions for the heck of it and to keep them looking the same even if they aren't used...

Looking good, though I personally would try and get the background inside the circles a different colour than white, as it blends in too much with the background outside the circle.

Uh... the 'background' is actually supposed to be transparent, think you could take a screenshot of what you see?

You must be correct Lord_Trekie, maybe it will look better in it's transparent background in the page itself, by allowing the design to blend ina proper way with the page itself.

Might be a Png issue.... for those poeple still using the somewhat archaic IE...

(psst FIREFOX... now with complete ad blockers)

lol, aye, FireFox supports PNG correctly, so does IE7.

They look great, also IE6 supports PNG's, I use IE6 still as IE7 is a nightmare and Firefox doesn't work on my system anymore.

Trekie, may I ask how you got the text to curve around with the rings like that as it's something I have been attempting to do myself with no such luck.

You're telling me, I am actually doing department logos for the fan fiction (SF Command, SF Security, SF Fighter Corps) etc and I am using the one template then altering it for each department. Using the above tutorial and after much trial and error I got the top text looking reasonable but the bottom I can't as it appears upside down.

i did one for the engineers working on the sentinel, tho i want to rework that one as it looks too basic :/

You'll need to create a second work path for the bottom text layer, you can't use the same ones.
