• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Those fighter physics look awesome, perfect timing too as soon I will be wanting to install fighters into some mods I am working on.

As far as refining them the man to ask is Hellkite, being someone who actually flies fighters for a living.

So you are admitting publicly, in front of witnesses, you are in fact a frakkin' Skin Job? Ooooh! This could be trouble! :D

Thank you for the very nice comments about the vids. I really do appreciate them. The Modder Tribute vid was done to show off some very special ships and some lighting settings and techniques developed by Freyr. Of course when you have ships as beautiful as these two, the only suitable background is Midnight Universe version 2.0.

Hello:
I think you already know my opinion about your videos, that's why I attempted to start making my own... but if posted I would get banned:lol2:. Well, not that horrid, but I'll need lots of practice, hehehe.
Keep it up!.

NOT an A2 Vid, lol

This is a vid which celebrates an old friend who has stayed with me through five computers. Some call it old fashioned. I think of it as a timeless classic.

Looking good Thunderfoot. I'll have to see about getting back into FRAPs at some point.

That looks awesome Thunderfoot. It will look incredible when I utilise it with the COE models too.

Very well done.

Surprisingly, all I had to do was change the lighting a little. I already have Yacuzza's MU v2.0 installed and I simply adjusted the Stars ODF and a few other minor things to get it to work better with my laptop. Anyone who has the A2 Upgrade Vanilla Ultimate can do exactly ther same thing as far as backgrounds go. A2PP X and a bunch of custom ships with a few minor changes should make anyone's game look as good if not better.

Hello:
That was a great video, I am happy how you made the music to match, specially when those Borg spheres were destroyed. Nice they weren't Cylon ships:cool:.
Very cool video!

Hi! Thunderfoot here! Welcome to the Uncle Thunderfoot Show! All the proof you'll ever want to explain I have waay too much free time! So keep those cards and letters going to my boss to tell him I need more overtime! Bored with regular Armada II? Think you've 'been there, done that' a few times too many? Looking for some new content to add some new excitement to you old favorite game? Well, friends, I have just the very thing you'll be wanting then! It's only available here at MSFC and nowhere else! This isn't out yet, and will never be available in stores, but will be available here at MSFC very soon! It is the Battlestar Solaria! That's right! Once you download Solaria from MSFC, the Bucket and the Beast will no longer have to go it alone saving Humanity from those nasty Toasters! Solaria can clean the clock of any sentient kitchen appliance in a matter of seconds! What is more, she'll keep on doing it long after she arrives in your A2 install! For a Toaster free tomorrow, you need to get Solaria! I have two! One for the home and one for the office! Because you never know when Toasters might show up! You have to be prepared for those unsightly Raiders no matter where you are!

Today's video features some stunning work done by our very special guests! They did all the BSG ships you're about to see! And a what a spectacular job, too! There are times when I simply cannot believe my eyes telling me just how beautiful some of these BSG vessels turned out! You will not believe your own eyes, either! And with more on the way, all I can say is, "Kewel!"

You know 'em! You love 'em!
Give it up, party people, for Majestic and Mike McKeon!

YouTube - solaria

What can I say? Billy Mays was one of a kind. Never failed to make me smile. I guarantee he used every single one of the things he sold us himself. How else could he become so excited about whatever he was selling this week? Only Human ever to speak in all caps.

I plan on finishing up a v1.1 of both the Pegasus and Solaria right after I finish up on the Cygnus. I am holding off on the Galactica as there is something special I have in mind for her. :)

Also the Solaria is by EAS_Intrepid, I just converted it (hardpointed it) and did the fine details, so credit equally goes to him. Just a note for future reference Thunderfoot.

The explosions are from FahreS' Project Orange mod. The shockwave is from Sherman2's NanoFX. Project Orange is available here and NanoFX is available over at the other A2 site.

Oh Man! I am so terribly embarrassed! I cannot believe I neglected to credit the correct person for the ship. I feel like an idiot now.

I got project orange but kinda overlooked NANO cause of the problems it seemed to cause, and the fact it was a beta looks like i got no choice about it now though lol

Yeah NanoFX was a real pain to troubleshoot. The auto installer gleefully killed off about half my sprite files and substituted complete rubbish for them. Then there is the fact the strobes are about four sizes too large for the ships. My stock Borg Interceptor resembled a warp drive equipped Christmas Tree for a bit. But when I finally got it working, oh wow!. Turned out to be a pretty good sprite modding educator. Although I doubt Sherman2 intended it to be, lol.
