So yeah. All in all I have to say it was enjoyable. It wasnt a great movie, infact i think it would be pushing it to call it a good movie. It was a movie.
I personally have a few issues with how things went in the movie. Pretty much that one of the main Characters (Reiko Aylesworth - Michelle Dessler from 24 incase that helps) is an Army officer who is returning home. Yet when the shiznit hits the fan, and when people start taking up arms against the aliens and the predator. She makes No attempt to Lead, or take charge or anything even thought the only other person in authority is a sherriff and hes a moron. She doesnt even ask for a weapon the first chance she gets. She acts scared when a gun is pointed at her. Shes one of the few people in the movie that is supposedly trained in combat and firearms, and she acts like every other person in the town untrained and helpless, except when shes driving an APC (which she claims shes trained to drive , but in reality shouldnt be much harder then driving a large truck.) . Heck even the 17 year old kid shoots more rounds then she does (and hes not a bad shot either). Another thing is that she seems ot have no concept of small group tactics at all. I doubt she went through any training in preperation for this movie (unlike the guys in the movie DOOM, saving private ryan, black hawk down, etc.) Cause she seems to have very little competence while using her M4-A1 rifle, or any other gun she gets her hands on.
Theres just things that really dont make much sense all throughout the movie. I could go on for a long time, but I figured I would just point out the things that really tick me off.
I'm reading reviews that are on comeplete opposite ends of the spectrum from people. So I'm wondering if anyone on here has had a chance to see it yet and what they thought of it.
