Romulans!!!!

Hey y'all. I know I have not been around very much lately. Been busy with work and my new son. Anyways, I am starting more models (even though I have yet to finish some others). I have seen many great looking federation ships in the STXI time line. Now a few Klingon ships are arriving. Let me be the first to introduce you to the R'Norra Class Warbird. She will be the first of what I hope to be many STXI time line Romulan ships.

That Romulan ship looks fantastic and awesome poly count. Very well done. I am looking forward to more. What Klingon ships are you talking about as well? I haven't seem any.

As for the Klingons, I was certain I saw some over at FF. I could be wrong though.

Here is an Update. I have started working on the textures. I have the basic texture down and have begun work on the detail. Once it is satisfactorily textures, I will clean it all up (snap vertexes and welding faces).

It was my intention to have her as a re-imagined TOS. I may end up releasing this as a TMP (as an evolution from the old Klingon D-7) and then re-designing the nacelles for the re-imagined TOS.

SciFi, This is something which is unique. She looks like a cross between a D'deridex and a Vor'cha. You've got her listed as Romulan but IMO, she would be equally home as a Klingon experimental prototype next-gen heavy cruiser hull. I look forward to seeing her completed and released. I know what you mean. The textures on the wing did not quite turn out the way I was intending. When I saw them on the 3D model, Klingon is what I saw. I am thinking on going a different route. What I mean by this is that the way I have it laid out is on the difficult side for me to texture properly. I will keep the site up to date.

What do y'all think?

I am working on the wings now and have ran into a little snag. I am wanting a wing design "painted" on the wing. I have come up with two styles though one looks more like a leaf than a wing. Anyways, here are the two styles.

I was kinda thinking the same thing. I like the first but, don't know how I can get it to fit in (Curves v Straight lines) to work with the other. If I do go with the second, I already have an idea to go on the bottom of the lower hull.

It might be more work, so I don't know how keen you would be, but my not make one as a variant or make a Reman or Tal'Shair version that uses the leaf pattern?

It's something to consider and think about and then you'd have two versions and it also gives downloaders the option to choose which one they like best.
