Well it's been awhile since I had some time to do any modeling so get back into the groove I decided to start on something fresh to get the ideas flowing again.

So far I just have the basic design roughed out so here are a few shots.
Enjoy. :)

Agree with all the others - nice start. Love the design of the back/engines. Not something that is usually seen.

Have you considered how you want to continue? Ribbing might look good on the lighter sections; maybe joining it up with the grey?

Looking forward to more!

Reminds me of the ship you entered in the contest. :)
Thats because both share a common influence which would be B5 earth ships and the Aliens movie Sulaco

For this ship I want to base the detailing around the Sulaco from the movie Aliens and some of the Dead space art work. I want a ship that gives that horror movie feeling.

Great to hear and I look forward to seeing what you got started.

Ok I started working out some of the larger detail areas on the front of the ship.

Never thought about the whole train thing. lol

Well once I start working on more of the larger detail elements that should start to change and then there is still finer detail work to do.

Liking the way the details are taking; makes me think that she's expecting trouble. Looks like your going for your references but adding a few twists.

I'm keeping my eye on this one - keep it up :)

Looking good -RJB- lol

um a question: is the model all one big mesh or do you sometimes use multiple meshes and just put them together. I use one huge mesh. If you do use one big mesh you are one hell of a modeller compared to me. all the detail you put on is imense lol.

What I do is start with one mesh and then take the part I'm working on and separate it so I don't get too cluttered. Once an area is done, it is re-merge with the whole model so when the model is finished it is one object.

Sorry to say, but I don't see your ship as "scary"... atleast, not yet. I am looking forward to seeing what you do with it. None the less, I like the ship so far.

That's because it's lacking any kind of atmosphere to it. A hunted house during the day is not very scary but at night that's a whole other story. :)

Well here is an update on the hallway scene.

On a side note I think I'll be releasing the models for this project on this site. (about time I make use of the download section.)

I understand. It's a good start, and I can't hardly wait to see the final render.

Hallway pic looks great. Has sort of a mix of Trek, SG, and SW feel to it. More so on the SW feel.

Well I think I'm going to do the engine room next and then maybe the computer core. (give me some time to come up with some ideas for the bridge.) :)

Don't worry I'm in no rush, it's just that I haven't given much thought on what I want to bridge to be like while on the other hand I have some ideas for the engine room and comp core.
