• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Rare screenshots!

Hello:
I didn't want to double-post in the "The Shout Thread" thread, so I made this if anybody wants to post screenshots of all the odd and funnily weird stuff that we all know happens in the Armada games, like this planet I found :lol2: .

@Chiletrek image doesn't show. Can you attach it via the upload feature?

Nice, I like this idea of oddities! But mine isn't really a hidden find in the stock game, but more of an artificially made oddity.

In remember in my personal install, I made this custom instant action map that had an ancient derelict Hur'q Station surrounded by a thick blanket of Metreon nebulae. Basically, whoever makes it thru and captures the station can wreak havoc on the other teams.

The Hur'q Station is basically a superweapon railgun with 99999 range and 5000 damagebase per shot. So all hell breaks lose if an AI team manages to capture it.

@Chiletrek
I'm gonna poke around my old installs to dig up the station, the Hur'q Railgun was just a kitbash of some stock models I think.

Hello:
Mate just save the pic and upload to msfc using the upload feature. You have unlimited upload space. I made it that way so members can upload to MSFC without running out of space.
I'll have to look around since the option does not seem to be here where you reply, but I'll figure it out... it was just odd that what I used to do will no longer work.

So the custom map was a bust, probably because it dates back to 2011 (damn that old already?) and I may have done far too many edits with the map unit odf's and such. But I was able to find the Hur'q Railgun and get it working again. Screenshots below:

It's a bigly and yuge thing, firing its death cannon, and also a small fed fleet to show it's scale:

Hello:
I totally agree with Majestic, the station looks great and detailed... also, I like the way it created the beam at the middle. Maybe that station could be a future release?

It's meant to be intimidating in size alone, and the tri layout roughly forms the Klingon logo too. Will pack it up for release for sure.

So Jet is that a space station per se, ala Klingon Death Star, or an automated giant turret?

Whatever it is, it looks cool and deadly, 9 out of 10 Klingon warlords would approve (The tenth thinks it's still too small :p).

I've seen the Picard head before and...well, no comment...

Well you can grab a copy over at the download section, thanks to Chiletrek, I've "re-discovered" some other oldies from my personal A2 builds. Old, crappy but not forgotten. I'll see what I can salvage.

There's other cringey mods apart from the Picard head. Remember the donut and the donut box? Oh my...
